Celebrating the life of

Nancy Marcucci

29 Jan 1931 - 28 Apr 2020

This memorial is a place for family and friends to connect and celebrate the life of Nancy Marcucci. Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and friend. A world traveler, she never backed down from an adventure. She was an incredible lady of many talents and we're lucky to have celebrated so many joyous moments in her presence. Please share personal memories, stories, photos, and videos in memory of Nancy! One of Nancy’s passions was community service. Actively involved with Samaritans RI for over 40 years she started out on the listening lines, co-led one of their prison based programs, and in the last many years facilitated Safeplace for survivors of a loved ones suicide. Nancy also taught conversational English at International House and spent countless hours at Hamilton House - Adult Learning Exchange for 60+. You would often find Nancy at the Hamilton House front desk checking members in, working in the kitchen as well as leading the monthly book club. Recognized by the Governor of RI in 2006 for her work with the Samaritans, Nancy was also honored by the YWCA as a Outstanding Women of the Year. Nancy's employer of over 25 years Harvard Pilgrim Health Care recognized Nancy with the Dorsey Award, for her persistent and caring work as a patient advocate as well as her significant community service efforts. In lieu of flowers the family is asking you to please make a donation to one of the organizations she gave so much of herself to.
