After his brave fight with cancer, Matt passed away peacefully, holding his wife's hand on the evening of October 28th. In his last months, Matt showed unimaginable strength and courage, determined to live a meaningful and joyful life to the end. Always determined to share experiences with others, Matt especially enjoyed rock climbing, traveling, hiking, learning new sports, trying new foods, and playing board games with his friends. To the last day, Matt cherished the time he was able to spend with his wife, family, and close circle of friends. With his kindness, humor, and openness, he made a lasting impact on all of our lives and will be greatly missed. Especially after his diagnosis, Matt took great comfort in having had the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through his career as a teacher at Fraser Academy - always willing to help others. We hope that those whose lives were impacted by his can also take comfort in this. Matthew is survived by his wife (Kate), parents (Karen and Henry), and brother (Ryan).
