my mum looked on life as an adventure. She looked forward to new experiences. She enjoyed meeting people and loved the company of children. When we were young and living at home,her friends would visit and there would be loud laughter as mum would recall some humourous episode in her life. I miss sharing gossip with her. Rest in Peace mum.
Granny taught me that I was worth more than what I owned. The value of what I did for others would be priceless, nothing that money could buy. You gave away my favourite jumper. At 7 or 8 I didn't understand, but soon learned that the girl you gave it to needed it more. I won't forget your milk rice and beef curry and the sight of you cutting bread...
