I have such great memories as our back yards all blended into each other. Loved the pool, gardens and hammock and everything just felt so safe. Remember the back door always open to all and Lisa and I knowing right where the freezer pops would be! I think she bought them just for us :). Aunt Julie was always there with a smile for everyone. I wo...

Donna (Duffy) Bartnett We’ve been So fortunate to have shared so many Wonderful memories together. As a kid I loved coming to your house not only for all the entertainment Going on In your kitchen, but your Freezing cold pool and especially all the fresh fruit (I ate it because I always admired How beautiful you are). Your home was always like a second home, your smile and laughter made us all want to spend time with you. The way you and Uncle Joe could yell and scream at each other with laughter. You yelling/laughing at me when I kept my mouth shut(unusual for me) when you blew through a stop sign and I didn’t warn you because I didn’t want to be a back seat driver. My memories of you are ALL filled with so much love and laughter. Please give my Brother a big hug from me. Love and miss you so much💔💔

Julie Weller (Pendell) Oh, my beautiful namesake... I would be remiss not to mention just some of what I know about this lovely lady's accomplishments. Aunt Judy (Julie was too popular of a name when we were all together) cemented my love for cream cheese and jelly; pretzels and cream cheese were also an ever popular combo. She mastered the gentle arm tickle/ cuddle combination which will be passed down for generations to come. She never failed a shout out at the mall to stop by "the fat lady's store". I will never forget the time Eileen, my mother, and Aunt Judy sequentially stayed up all night in North Carolina to read "Silence of the Lambs" which definitely led to me reading it much to early. One of the greatest beauty tips she ever gave me was that "painting your toenails is so easy- you don't even have to paint in the lines, if you get it on your skin, it just washes off when you shower"; one of the best compliments was her asking for my lipstick regimen. Just outside of her dinning room and kitchen offices was the best selection of beauty products this little girl could ever ask for. She was my roommate when we visited and we would sing to each other before falling to sleep. If you need to know how to dry your bra, you just hang it from the ceiling fan. She also let me name Buttons but I think Gremlin would have been a better name. Mostly, though, the love she showed was remarkable. I remember how she lovingly held Mattie after he had surgery for the "hole in his heart", how inseperable she and Eileen and Juliane were, how close she was to her whole family, and how freely she loved and how loved we felt around her. She will be forever be loved and fiercely missed.

I remember when I first moved here from Hunington, it was quite an adujstment for me. We were at Julie's house and complaining about nowhere to go. We were young and Eileen wasn't driving yet. I was so surprised when Julie told us to hitch a ride to the speedway (remember that!). We started walking down but truthfully Eileen and I weren't racing ca...

Tim Pendell Aunt Judy was the kindest, sweetest, and funniest lady I have had the pleasure of knowing (apologies to the other ladies in my life)

Long before the existence of Outlet Centers, going to the Mall was a true excursion. Typically it was preplanned and more than a few hours were blocked off for the trip. Aunt Julie loved to shop - and as luck would have it, the Smithaven Mall had some new stores that she just loved. Unfortunately, Uncle Joe was not as passionate about Julie's sh...

Joanne Estrada Oh the precious memories at Aunt Julie’s house...family time, cousins, flashlight tag, chickens, goats, Long Island Game Farm, Herbie, the trails, boot skating on the frozen pond, shucking corn, snapping green beans, fresh tomatoes, bread and butter, peeling potatoes, playing Ode to Joy and The Entertainer on the piano for hours, Grace’s Hot Dogs, fries at the diner, fishing, Midnight, Mud, Monster, the beach house (actually more like the bird house...it wasn’t quite suitable for humans back then)..I could go on for days...Absolutely love her! Heart of gold and Class Act! I will always treasure the hours of stories and heartfelt memories! She has touched so many lives and built a legacy that will continue for decades to come!
