    Family and friends

Hello everyone, and welcome to the memorial page, and online funeral service, for our mum, Carole. We know this whole thing is less than ideal; these are pretty strange times and I guess this is a pretty strange way to have a funeral service. But we hope it will provide SOME of the same things we all need from a physical funeral. We're so sorry that we couldn't see you all in person today and h... more

So sad to hear about the passing of Carol. As a child I spent many hours playing with Robert and Jenny on the farm as our parents tested the wines Carol and Barry were so proud of creating and plotted the next mission of the Warley Ramblers. I remember Carols huge smile, wholehearted laugh, and how warmly she loved her family. I also fondly rememb...

Pam and I moved to The Old Rectory, Little Warley in 1972 and soon became great friends with Barrie and Carole involved in the Village Hall and village activities. We had much in common that has lasted nearly 50 years; in fact only four weeks before Carole died we were fighting our corner together against the bikers and the travellers. Always gener...

What wonderful memories I have of Auntie Carole. From our annual family Boxing Day trips as young children and other family gatherings, to weddings and celebrations as we all grew up. What great times we all had. I fondly remember our joint Logan Camping trips to France, walking, paddling in the rivers, barbecuing and eating out. Thank you fo...

We'll never now make that promised trip to Cuba, but it was good to dream. And we had so many other memories of shared times. Shared days of happiness with our group of friends, the Warley Wramblers. Food and drink figured large, trips to France, a love of gardening. Those mammoth New Year's Day walks followed by lunch. Time spent with Carole an...

Silversmithing Carole and I spent lovely weekends just outside Chelmsford at the silversmithing workshops of George Grant, making wonderful pieces of jewellery to wear, while our partners looked after the families back in Brentwood. It was a refreshing break for us both from our busy lives as mothers and career teachers and lecturers, to be creat...

Chris Logan I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Auntie Carole. When I think back to all of the times our families spent together I can always recall many stories told by her and her infectious laughter. Some of the memories that come to mind are holidays in France, complete with me trying to have a shave in our caravan at the age of 3 or 4 and then showing everyone my achievements, which weren’t pretty!! This story always came out whenever we met up. I can also remember many a Boxing Day at Pump Farm House as well as many other family gatherings at Weddings and Christenings. Carole will be greatly missed by all of the “Slogans” and “Clogans”. All our love, Chris, Emma, Edith and Mollie. Xx

Candida Thompson When I was young, whenever I thought of you, I always associated you with this ring. Knowing I had always loved it, you gave it to me last year. I wear it almost every day and think of you. Thank you for all the lovely memories. Pump Farm will always be one of my favourite places. Love, Candida.
