Yeoh Cheang Wah

In loving memory of Mr Yeoh Cheang Wah (30 April 1926 - 21 April 2021). This page is for Cheang Wah's family and friends to connect online and share their personal memories and stories. He is survived by his wife Madam Chee Joo Kee (they married 65 years ago), 3 children (Yeoh Oon Beng (spouse Le Wan), Yeoh Oon Jin (spouse Swee Mei), Stephanie Yeoh Seok Bee (spouse Alan Yeap, deceased), 6 grandchildren (Yeoh Seng Han (spouse Angie), Yeoh Kim Li (spouse Adrian Poy), Eugene Yeoh, Amy Yeap (spouse Joey Mui), Kenny Yeoh, Christie Yeap, and 9 great grandchildren (Ariana Poy, Caleb Yeoh, Nathaniel Poy, Amelia Mui, Isabel Yeoh, Joshua Poy, Elijah Mui, Imogen Mui and Lucas Yeoh). Remembered by us as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle, King’s Scout, Rover Scout, Penang Free School prefect, Banker, Civil Defence volunteer, amateur magician, and Trustee of the Yeoh Kongsi in Penang, Cheang Wah enjoyed his family holidays, travelling around the world by air and sea, helping people, and entertaining little children. A relative expressed fond memories, and wrote, “It was always fun and jolly to be in his company.” Another said, “He was such a gentle, friendly and happy man, and he enjoyed his food (especially char koay tiow and chee cheong fun!). He will be sadly missed by so many that he touched during his lifetime (of nearly 94 years).”
