Join MemoriesIt is with a very heavy heart that I say farewell to Gail, my beautiful friend of many years. We grew up in Innisfail, went to the same school, played netball in the same team, enjoyed the Saturday matinees, the Shire Hall dances, catching bus to Etty Bay, sleepovers, what a fantastic time of our lives. Catching up years later was always great reminiscing about those beautiful memories. No more pain Gail. RIP🙏 now with Doug. Love Min 🤠🦋

It is with a very heavy heart that I say goodbye to Gail today. Our Innisfail school mate, our Basketball captain and our special friend. RIP Gail .
When I reflect on Aunty Gail I realise that she was always enquiring about how school or Uni was going, despite probably knowing it (Uni) was going very slowly. However I was always left with a feeling of being supported and understood even as a young bloke lacking in any form of focus. As a family the Phillips' always looked forward to catching up as we passed through Townsville on epic 70's car journeys.
I have many fond memories of spending a lot time with Aunty Gail when we lived in Townsville . Enjoyed listening to Buddy Holly on the record player , and she encouraged us all during our school years . Yes I still have the scar on my wrist from the accident . My children all enjoyed seeing Gail & Doug when they visited Brisbane . I am very sorry circumstances meant we couldn’t attend today . In our thoughts . Rene
