6th August, 1930 - 15th July, 2016Valerie Winifred Smith (nee Doig). Died peacefully on 15 July 2016, aged 85. Nurse, Writer, Tramper, Conservationist. A loved and inspirational mother to Christine and Mike, Di and Rick, Phil and Anne. The adored Goey of Peter and Elsie, Grandma of Tara and Beth, “Mum” of Jonathan, and other wonderful things to many people. She’s with her beloved Pete at last.
