Ian Peebles Charlie, Dave and Jack. Remarkable, even though they were in different branches of the army, the three brothers met up in Egypt during WW2. Dave was a Rat of Trubrok. This name was given to the men by Field Marshall Rommel of the German Army when they refused to surrender. The Seige.... of Tru....lasted nearly four months instead of the three weeks it had been ....

Ian Peebles Jimmy, Great Dane #1 Jimmy was given to the family as replacement for our Fox Terrier who was hit by a car. He was just a pup who grew and grew and grew. He was a magnificent dog and a great companion for mum during the long lonely nights of the war. He lived 14 years.

Ian Peebles I was holidaying in Surfers Paradise and took a joy flight in a Tiger Moth. We did some aerobatics and after the first roll and I hadn't fallen out it was the most exciting experience I had ever had.
