In September, 1963 I started school at 5 years old in the Junior Primary grade before I went to the kindergarten because of being so traumatized by the children being mentally abusive towards me calling me names like “little black sambo” because of the color of my skin.
I began kindergarten at age 6 at Rudolph Elementary School .
Attended Noyes Elementary School in the 3rd and 4th grades where I was still traumatized by my schoolmates.
Trayci Campbell I attended Langdon Elementary in the 5th located at 1900 Evarts Street NE
Trayci Campbell I attended Taft Jr High School and began to feel comfortable in my own skin because my schoolmates weren’t as cruel to me that I experienced in elementary school.
Trayci Campbell I attended Anna Burdick Vocational High School and graduated in 1977. My trade was secretarial training. I met friends who had my best interest as I began to come out of that cocoon and transformed into a beautiful butterfly. I got my first job working for the Federal Government at the Veterans Administration located at 810 Vermont Avenue, NW.
