Tony RENDINA (Qantas)

Lived in Sydney - Worked at Qantas - Not forgotten. Tony had a happy life in Sydney surrounded by friends, lovers and his 2 partners (first Andrew Hargreaves & then Stephen Howard), enjoyed his career at Qantas and was proud of renovating his Potts Point penthouse apartment with its panoramic view of Sydney Harbour. Tony had it all - looks, charm, confidence and success - he would light up any room he entered. Tony could also be self-centered, ruthless and uncaring. Among Tony’s close Qantas colleagues/friends were Ray Anderson, Fred Forbes, Robert Lindsay, Glenn & Cathy Price, Helen Schut, Ray Wines , Derek Bastianz & Murray Whittle. One of the highlights of Tony’s life was when he hosted a party at his Sydney apartment for his close friend, British singer Cliff Richard. Tony’s favourite Qantas stopovers were London, Honolulu, Vancouver and Bangkok enjoying all the gay bars, bathhouses and guys there. When in Sydney, Tony spent his time at the beaches, pubs and saunas of Sydney’s gay scene. .
