Paul Ramig Joe Cool and heart throb of the 1960's and 1970's, my cousin, Mr. Todd Riley. I remember when you were born. Your sister Tami stayed with us. Your dad was so thrilled to have a boy, but your sister wasn't sure she was going to let them bring you home because she wanted a little sister. Not a little brother. So glad she changed her mind. Being born and raised in Western Nebraska, God truly blessed me with you and your sister as cousins.
Tami Wyman Family vacation in Estes Park. Was he adorable or what? My sweet brother. He always loved the mountains. This surrey was outside the Saddle and Surrey Motel where we usually stayed. Our yearly trips to Estes were very special times.
Tami Wyman Todd loved to look for chipmunks when we were in Estes and also enjoyed the caramel apples.
Tami Wyman My brother and I grew up on a small family farm in western Nebraska. It was a home filled with love and simple pleasures, in many ways from a bygone era. We grew up together. We played together. We did chores together. We ate together. We watched TV together. When our parents had bridge club in the living room, we took candy from the entertainment stash and talked and laughed in our bedrooms eating all the candy we could hold, together. Our bedrooms were separated by an old brown accordion door. Late at night we had some of our best talks. I can still hear our Dad’s voice telling us to be quiet and go to sleep. We, of course, had the usual brother and sister squabbles, frequently about who had crossed the imaginary line in the back seat of the car. One day Todd, needing a plastic ring for the string on his yoyo, figured out the ring from my talking Bugs Bunny would do the trick. He cut it off rendering my Bugs forever mute. I reminded him of that indiscretion many times. The last time was pretty recently. I, on the other hand, would sometimes sneak on the floor into his bedroom at night and scare him. I also once mixed a bit of water with some instant tea and told him it was chocolate. Payback for Bugs. My brother is a kind and gentle soul. He was very quick witted and funny. Frequently, I couldn’t catch my breath after one of his off the cuff remarks. He had a knack for making me laugh in church for which I, of course, got reprimanded. I can see clearly the grin that would appear on his face as that was happening. Once when he was very little we were in church at Christmas time and Santa came for a visit with little bags of ribbon candy and peanuts for the children. There was a lot of excitement and Mom soon realized that little Todd had disappeared. We looked frantically all over the church and finally found him just outside the front door looking up at the roof of the church. He wanted to see the reindeer, particularly Rudolph. I’m sure he had that whole situation figured out at a very tender age. When that sweet little boy from western Nebraska grew up, he had a very successful career, but his real joy was always his family. The love and pride he had for Kari, Logan, and Harrison were immeasurable. In our family, when we end a text or note we frequently add the letters TIAB. When our daughter, Rylie, was little she was a particular fan of Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. The TIAB means I love you to infinity and beyond. My dear sweet brother, I love you to infinity and beyond. TIAB, Tami
Tami Wyman A boy and his turtle. This reminded me of another memory. One day when Todd was about this same age he came in the house very excited with his hands clasped together. He was so eager to show us what he had hidden in his hands. When he opened them, several very tiny toads jumped out all over the kitchen including in the orange jello Mom had out on the counter.
Tami Wyman Early evidence of a very enthusiastic Husker football fan. I used to sing the Oklahoma fight song in the house sometimes. Let's just say he did not like it.
Frank Riley Here’s a picture of Todd and I, I believe this was my birthday party, Todd and I spent a lot of time together when we were young, we went swimming, stayed at each other houses when our parents were playing cards, when we got into high school we did a lot dragging main, then in our college years me and Todd, Sandy and Dane Kucera did a lot of concerts and college party’s. After college years we keep in touch here and there. Todd was one of the good people it was privilege and a honor to be his cousin and best friend, I will truly miss him.
Tami Wyman Todd and me after my college graduation ceremony. He would have just finished his sophomore year of high school.
Paul Ramig The Rileys and the Ramigs spent a lot of time together. Tons of memories from putting up corn on the Riley farm each August before school started. Thanksgivings on the Ramig farm. New Year's Eve with Guy Lombardo. Summer trips to Estes Park for music camp. 4th of July on the Riley farm until most of the cousins graduated. Then Todd and I got to spend a few 4th of Julys with our parents at Fort Robinson where Todd and I would spend the whole afternoon in the swimming pool. So it was very special and appropriate for Todd to walk my parents down the aisle when I got married. That meant more to me then I think Todd ever realized.
Tami Wyman I am guessing on some of these dates but this photo of Todd, our Mom and Dad, cousin Paul Ramig, and Bill and I was taken in Estes Park one 4th of July while we were waiting for the fireworks to begin. Todd had started working at Ferrellgas in Kansas City. Mom and Dad were so proud of him. Dad always had his Ferrellgas cap on in those days.
Tami Wyman I think this picture was taken the day after Kari and Todd's wedding. We were all on a walk in a park on the Plaza in Kansas City. Todd had a habit of carrying Rylie on his shoulders. She loved it but, for some reason, found something he used on his hair to be stinky so she started calling him Stinky Uncle Todd. None of us would let him forget that, of course.
Tami Wyman Kari and Todd are our daughter, Rylie's, Godparents. This picture is from the rehearsal dinner before their wedding. Rylie even ran out onto the floor and shared their first dance at the wedding reception and they laughed and said it was ok. It was a very happy time.
Tami Wyman One of my favorites, Todd teasing Rylie about being the Christmas turkey.
Tami Wyman Rylie loves her Uncle Todd.

Kari Riley 2017 family vacation
Paul Ramig Baseball and brews! While visiting my brother from a different mother Tim in Denver, we were able to get Todd to go to a baseball game with us at Coors Field. I had gone to a baseball game once before with Todd when he first moved to Kansas City to watch the Royals. I remember him warning his sister to be careful when you go to a baseball game with Paul because you have to stay for the whole game! I think Todd was ready to leave after the 6th inning in Kansas City. But Todd, Tim and I had such a great time that day in Denver that we not only stayed for the whole game, but sat outside the stadium and watched people leave after the game. It was a great day reliving old memories and hearing countless stories about Logan and Harrison. I can't help but think about how blessed Logan and Harrison are to have a dad who loved them as much as Todd did.

Kari Riley Todd with our beloved Maggie
He made me love the Beatles. He had the best taste in music. I also have fond memories of him loving spicy food. He would sweat a ton but he loved it.
Ann Eudeikis When we first met Todd, it felt like we had known him forever. He was easy to talk to, quick witted, and sharp with his words. Oh, yes, and funny as hell. We didn't get to spend nearly as much time with him as we would have liked, but are so grateful for the beery discussions about politics, music, and all good things in between. He is a friend that will not be forgotten and missed dearly.

Kari Riley This is funny because Todd and his father did not like birds
No picture, just a few words about one of the sweetest, kindest person I ever knew. The world lost a devoted husband, amazing father and a good friend last week. Todd had an awesome sense of humor and will be missed by so many.
My fondness memories of you Todd where when we were all together at family functions. Our annual family trips to just seeing each other's families were the best. Chicago, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Plano, Glenwood Springs and all the countless holidays are forever in my heart. Thank you for being there for the boys. Thank you for always being there. ...
We didn't live in Parker at the same time - probably 20 years apart. Todd didn't like it as much I did - but that was ok. I enjoyed working with him over the years. We shared many a good beer together. Usually after a few of those beers we'd start swapping stories about parenting. He was very proud of Harrison and Logan.
