Ting-Yee "Tim" Wang was born September 15, 1941 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and passed away in his home in Huntington Beach, CA the morning of Saturday June 20, 2020. He immigrated to the United States to attend Kansas State University, graduating with a degree in civil engineering. His career included jobs at the City of New York, Parsons, Rockwell and Southern California Edison. In the 1980s he began investing in real estate and started his own investment and realty services company. Best known as Uncle Tim to many, Ting-Yee's heart never really left Taiwan. His passion for human rights justice for his home country was clear to all those he influenced, led and mentored in roles at the Southern California Taiwanese Association, Voice of Taiwan Independence, World Unified Formosan for Independence, Formosan Association for Public Affairs, Taiwanese Black List Task Team, Formosan Association for Human Rights, Friends of Taiwan, Free Tibet, and more. He was a founding member of several organizations that influence current and future generations of Taiwanese. In retirement he enjoyed traveling the world, playing golf at least twice a week, and entertaining friends at his harbor-side home. The friends he surrounded himself with were very important to him and the family thanks you for being a part of his life. We encourage you to use this site to share your memories of Ting-Yee Wang.
