The most time I spent with Uncle Tom was at the Island, summer of 1971 with my family and with cousins Kathy, Danny, Tommy and little Jimmy and Aunt Carol and other relatives that visited that summer. Such a wonderful, kind loving person. Until we meet again, Uncle Tom.
Leah you have done such a beautiful job with this!! It has been a little too overwhelming for me to add to it at this point. Thank you for your tender care of this. Uncle Tom
Tricia Sommersberger Thank you for always sharing your island with us. We will miss you.
Nate Bickel Julie and I had the privilege of celebrating her Uncle Tom's eternal homecoming this past weekend. Uncle Tom was quiet, intelligent, inspiring to all those who knew him, and of course a great listener. I know his legacy of love, laughter, and genuine kindness will live on forever! Being surrounded by Speckhard relatives this weekend was definitely an "event". An event that not only enhanced my memories of Uncle Tom, but also allowed me to be around a family who share so many of those same great qualities.
