Always remembered by family and loved ones. Tan Lian Tee passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 26 September, 2012 with her children by her side. She was born on 1st December, 1927 in 東門裡, 中國, and the eldest daughter to 陳雲森 and 葉仙珠. She came to Singapore with her parents and siblings from China in 1935. She has four brothers and was preceded by her sister, 陳啊球 in 1995. She was married to Soh Meng Long (蘇明爐) in 1945, who preceded her in 1994. During her 50 years of marriage to her husband, they moved many times between China, Malaysia, Singapore and finally settled in Singapore. Together they have two sons, eight daughters, twelve grand children and eight great grand children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, sewing and quilting. Every Chinese New Year, all family members would gather at home for her wonderful cooking and baking. She continued to sew into her eighties, even with only one good eye, and sewed many beautiful quilts for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her vision paved the future where her children and grand children lived. Courageous fighter, keen learner, hard worker and a great caregiver.
