On May 31st, 2022, Susan unexpectedly passed away, leaving behind her grandmother, parents, three younger siblings, and countless other loving family members. She was only 34 years old. Kelsey Kirland Oh Susan! I missed you today. I was traveling for work which you would have loved because I was having some much needed no kid time while exploring new places. I was starving and found myself at a new west african restaurant. I ordered a bowl of rice and beans with a traditional Nigerian red sauce. It was absolutely delicious! Almost as good as the Nigerian food I had at your graduation party. I’ve kept this very special outfit for the past twelve years wondering when I would wear it next.
