Stuart Thomas Chell
03 Apr 1964 - 23 Apr 2015Stuart Thomas Chell was born at 11:30 on the 3rd of April 1964 at Westholme, West Grove, Allenton, Derby. He was the second son to proud parents Patricia and Terence Chell and beloved brother to Mark, Tracey and Matthew. He loved and was loved dearly by his wife Kylie and his son Thomas, who was the love and light of his life. Stuart was a great character and his infectious smile, laugh and humor made him many life long friends. Stuart lived life to the fullest and was always ready for a beer, a laugh and to sit and watch the Cricket, Soccer, League or Darts. He loved this even more if it was with a mate or 10. In 2000 Stuart finally found the career he was meant for. He became a Police Officer and worked his way up to become Detective Senior Constable Chell in the Unsolved Homicide Squad. He loved his job with a passion and dedication that made us all proud. On Australia Day 2014 we discovered that Stuart had bowel cancer which had spread to his liver and was told of his grave prognosis. Even with all the treatment, and pain that comes with Cancer Stuart never complained and still always tried to be his happy fun loving self. He fought till the end but it finally got the better of him and he passed peacefully at home on the 23rd of April surrounded by his family. Stuart will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and colleagues but his cheeky smile and sense of humor will always be remembered. Rest in Peace Stu - don't create too much havoc up there! xx
