Simone Battle was an American actress and singer who died tragically at the age of 25. She is most known for being a top 16 finalist in 2011 on Fox's “The X Factor.” Growing up in Los Angeles, Simone studied ballet and tap and had an internship after high school with a company that worked with the Black Eyed Peas. She studied Music Industry and Songwriting at USC. Simone Battle toured with will.i.am's band after an audition. In 2006 she appeared in an episode of “Zoey 101” and then in 2010 she danced in a Cali Swag District music video "Teach Me How to Dougie.” In 2011 she auditioned for “The X-Factor” and made it to the Top 16, even being mentored by Simon Cowell in the process. She used this exposure to release her single and video “He Likes Boys.” She joined the pop group G.R.L. which was a resurgence of the Pussycat Dolls but she never realized the fame she so deserved as she left the world too young.
