Join MemoriesDearest Shelley, You were an amazing childcare worker to have known that continued to shine with your presence among staff, families and children it was a pleasure working with you. When seeing you in September 2024 I remember you smiling with joy as you saw my baby daughter Francesca for the first time coming to visit the childcare centre with my family. It was a lovely experience bringing my daughter to the North East Community Childcare Centre to see you and past staff that I knew and of course new staff. May your soul rest in heaven with all the angels. You will be dearly missed. All our love, Corrina, David and Francesca (THE DU FAMILY) xoxoxo
One of the earliest memories I have of the childcare centre was of Shelley. She was this bubbly smiley personality that made the place feel welcoming, which was great for us parents that were struggling with deciding if we were doing the right thing handing our kids over to what were essentially strangers at the time. As the years went by, that all changed, and the place became a second home for our kids Emma and Sam that loved being there and the carers there. People had come and gone from the centre over the years, but Shelley was there from their start and her presence always forms a part of what we think about whenever we and the kids remember their time there. Her desire to improve things and dedication to help make the centre a place where kids could grow and be happy is something we will always be grateful for. Thank you Shelley for all you've done for our kids and so many others. You will be dearly missed and remembered always. Love - the Wong family - Beata, Ian, Emma and Sam
