Abby Attuil My sweet Shane, what can I say. I was tired of rummaging through all my old videos to find ones of you so I decided to put all my favourite memories with you into one. And now every time I watch this I feel you here with me. It has been so so hard to accept that this has happened to you, but every day gets just a tiny bit easier knowing you are now everywhere, in all things. And I donโt have to pick up my phone to talk to you anymore, you are with me now always. Itโs a strange yet magical feeling seeing signs from you, and reassurance that youโre still here. You were always so silly, playing tricks on me and embracing your inner child. Itโs no coincidence that when Iโm talking aloud to you like a crazy person, a fly comes to land on my nose, reassuring me Iโm not crazy. You were so genuine and caring, and always wanted the best for everyone. I always admired your passion, the way you poured your heart into doing what you love. I will always remember that beautiful smile of yours, itโs stuck in my brain forever. Im sad we canโt create any more memories together, but Iโm so glad I have these videos to look back on all the indescribable memories we were able to create. Keep sending me signs buddy, so much love in my heart for you๐

Tracey Craddock If anyone would like to visit 'down south' Shane this is where he is, at Castle Bay. It is a lovely spot, just up from Meelup Beach. We intend to swim here lots (sorry locals) when we come down to Dunsborough. We were told that this is one of the places that Shane likes to swim, so part of him shall be here forever.
Tracey Craddock On Wednesday at around 5.45pm we put part of Shane in the water at Castle Bay beach, Dunsborough - he liked to swim here sometimes. Shane's friends India, Denver & Grant, came to the waters edge with me, and we gently released Shane under the waves. It is a beautiful place. Shane will also be in the water at City Beach, just down from where we said goodbye to him at Sunset on Tuesday.
Tracey Craddock City Beach at sunset. Brodie, India and Mum (me) braved the deceptively rough water to put the second part of Shane's ashes in the ocean. I realised quite quickly (after being knocked over a few times) that I wasn't strong enough to take Shane out. Lovely India got knocked by the waves, dumped, and lost part of her bathers (towel very much needed). Brodie is such a strong swimmer and swam out deep past the waves with Shane, and placed him where the suns rays met the ocean - it was sad and beautiful
lucas Glauch An ode to shane A smile that would permeate through the darkest of rooms, an energy that calmed like a mothers touch. He lived without caution and loved the same, a romance which could not be extinguished and a curiosity for pleasure. From childhood to man he was pushed from comfort to chaos, from strength to strength he persevered. He armed himself with knowledge and friendships along his journey growing with those he loved. He was never given the tools to build his own castle yet brick by brick one begun to emerge from the foundations where he stood. A beautiful life was being built by a beautiful soul. His lust for life pushed him to new worlds and transcended taste and colours, but on his final trip he strayed too far. In that last moment as a soul is trapped between body and sky he lives on, staring at the stars with his feet in the sand and his heart on his sleeve. In life and death he is loved, missed but never forgotten. Goodbye Shane - Lucas glauch
Tracey Craddock Easter family gathering at Aunty CC & Uncle Johns place, our first without Shane. I brought his ashes along, so he didn't miss out, but so missed his physical presence.
Tracey Craddock Missing you Shaneboy, so much.
Rowena Hamilton For anyone feeling the absence of Shane today, I am sending love. Hereโs a few words I wrote a little while back about the time I got to spend with him, I hope they remind you of your own memories. Shane was a big part of my life for almost 10 years. During those years he was both a pain in my butt and the funniest, kindest, sweetest, most complex, most charming guy I knew. Whether he was the boy sitting behind me in psychology class at school, throwing rolled up pieces of paper at the back of my head, who for some reason I couldnโt get off my mind or the guy I climbed mountains with.. I grew through my tumultuous hormonal teenage years and early twenties, with Shane by my side. I remember one school swimming carnival, Shane walking past me with Ben in his ear โjust ask her to the ball now! Ask her now!โ and I can remember him nervously carrying around a full backpack on a date to the movies, only to reveal a huge bouquet of flowers he had shoved in, right as dad came to pick me up. I remember running to catch a flight only for Shane to drop his passport as we ran through the terminal to the sound of our names over speaker phone, stressed but bursting with laughter. I had never known anyone as disorganised as Shane, but he was just so excited for every adventure. I can remember feeling like I couldnโt take one step further during our hiking in the Himalayas, only to look over at Shane, filming himself, talking in an accent, as if he was crocodile Dundee. He always encouraged me to keep going. I can remember Shane tapping on my bedroom window late at night..I can remember Shane holding my hand as we dived together amongst huge coral reef..I can remember Shane spinning me drunkenly around on dance floors..I can remember Shane smiling at me from across the room at parties.. and I can remember feeling at home in his arms. Shane taught me a lot. He taught me what it means to show up for someone time and time again, he taught me not to take life, or yourself, too seriously and he was the very first guy I ever loved. I am so grateful for the years I spent with him and I will remember Shane for the rest of my life.
