Runy was like a father- figure to me when I was in high school. Linda, David, Bunny, Maya and Ivan were like family. I always felt so welcomed by the Sarda family. He was a gentle and very kind man. I treasure the lovely memories I have of him and time with his family. Godspeed, “Dad”. Peg Squazzo

It was 27 years ago in April that I met Runy. It was a fateful encounter; he hired me a few days later at Extelcom. And except for a pause of 8 years, I had worked under him, for him and with him since. We connected quite well. Maybe sharing similar consequences helped: we both were one of 12 siblings, born under the same zodiac sign, had an...

V Sehwani Dear Runy, You were more than a friend to me and my family. You provided us with a new life in the US which opened up new horizons for all from education to marriage and other opportunities. For this I am ever grateful. I love you, your friend, Kishu. Sending hugs to the Sarda family, Kishu and kids.

It was one warm afternoon some 28 years ago in an office in Salcedo st. Makati, when I met RMS. Extelcom was a start up telecom company and that was day 1 for the 30 or 40 young fresh graduate kids to have RMS as our Boss. He picked me to be is guide to get around the small office and to introduce him to everyone. That day he became our vice chairm...

Prior to joining American Key Products in September 2000, I had never met or worked for Runy. It's still a great mystery how our paths eventually crossed but I continue to thank God that it did. My thoughts and prayers to the family! To Runy, thanks for the memories and till we meet again!!

Jazmine Estacio I have so many fond memories of the Sarda family. I can pick a moment, but honestly, it is more of a feeling. Every time I think of Tito Runy and Tita Linda, David, Bunnie, Maya and Ivan, it was never an expression of words but of motivation, love and commitment. Tito Runy embodied all of this. He was a pillar of strength and loyalty and love, a warmth like hot chocolate on a cold winter's day. Immigrating from the Philippines as an infant, my family had minimal ties to their heritage. But the Sarda family gave me the gift of knowing an extended family filled with such exuberance, happiness and support. When I heard of Tito Runy's passing, there was a loss for me. He had a significant impact on my life. He was so supportive to my parents, me and my sister. I know he is part of who I have become today. And I owe him for this. And I am forever grateful. The last time I saw Tito Runy was in the city and we took him to The Smith on 3rd Ave. The joy of him enjoying food he typically could not eat (sorry Tita Linda!) but it was as if I was 6 years old again. Hearing him laugh, spreading joy and always so appreciative of everything and everyone around him. There is a genuineness that I hope to emulate. I will miss you Tito Runy. You are truly one of the most influential people in my life. And I hope I continue to make you proud of me and who I become. "I have no fear of depths, only a great fear of shallow living"...

Evangeline Sarda Grandchildren’s and family’s words to Runy at the Burial Service.

When my wife and I met Mr. Runy and Linda Sarda in a Marriage Encounter Seminar in the early 90's in the Philippines, we were four years married, but still childless. Just few days after we met, I joined him at Extelcom and, quickly, our relationship became more personal too. In fact, I actually addressed them as Tito Runy and Tita Linda outside th...
