Debra Fox
Debra Fox Roy's health steeply declined after Dave died in 2013, they were so close and had spoken everyday. They had been through so much, apart and together since their childhood, yet they were two of the loveliest men with the biggest hearts. The irony is that they both died from heart failure. We were so happy to have them back in our lives after we left Nairobi , when in the summer of 1993 they came on holiday with us in Cornwall (see photo on the ferry from Rock to Padstow). The photo of Roy (profile picture) was taken at Dave's wedding some years later and captures that unmistakable naughty giggle of his. Wonderful brothers, special memories xxx

So sad that Roy and Dave have both passed away...such a big part of our youth in those halcyon days in Kenya, when we all enjoyed the very best it had to offer, they are both sadly missed. xx
I have so many fond memories of both Punchy and Roy. Punchy was the kindest teddy bear and Roy, one of the funniest men I have ever met! Safari njema, you are both missed but definitely not forgotten! xxx
Will never ever forget either of you! Rest in Peace xx

Oct 20.2015 Davina Leonard - Roy's Ceremony: "Roy finally got sent off this morning. A sweet group of 10-12 of us gathered at Putney Vale Crematorium and Roy's friend, Lee Weeks shared some sweet memories of him which of course got the tears flowing. We will post the text on the memorial site so keep an eye out. Oh, and the service after was for a ...
Hey Roy, without even trying you were the best stand up comedian. You made every party fun. I'll search for some photos to post, but I would have been laughing too much to take a decent picture.

Davina Leonard A sweet ceremony to prepare Roy for his last trip back to Kenya in December. Fittingly, the ceremony after us had two bag pipers in full garb, kilts and all which was very fitting! Lee Weeks read a lovely piece about Roy and his abounding kindness.
Davina Leonard Saying goodbye to Roy on a drizzly London morning.
Hello everyone. Sorry for the silence. Roy is now back in Nairobi. The memorial is probably going to happen here in April - details to be confirmed.

So sadly missed Roy even now - whenever I hear a piece of music on the radio, I want to 'what's app' it to you - we had such fun those last few months with the 'what's app' connection - interacting with you brought back good memories of our youth in Kenya !!
It has been just over a year since Roy passed away and we haven't forgotten the kindness of the many people who contributed to his cremation and repatriation. If you are in Nairobi on Saturday 3rd December, please join us at a celebration of his life on Mukoma Road at 12:30pm. Feel free to share the date with the many people who knew and loved Ro...
REMEMBERING ROY - 3rd Dec 2016
Affectionately known as "Rock Hound" I was always dragged along by Treens as the sprog brother, I will remember his Kikuyu impersonation at The Norfolk which had us all including staff rolling on the floor In fact whenever you were with him he had everyone smiling and laughing Kwaheri Roy RIP
Roy was that irritating junior at Duko that got under your skin because he was so funny , made you laugh , and envious that you did not have that same sense of humour and banter . Flash forward to about 73/74 in Nairobi , Roy doing his Jomo Kenyatta speech at my flat party opposite Valley Secretarial , if you closed your eyes it was the Pres himse...
