I remember Mum taking me, Laurence, and often our cousins and friends, to Standalone Farm in Baldock on many occasions. I loved hand-feeding all the animals, especially the goats who used to gobble up the paper bag too! The turkey scared me though...
Your mum was a very special Aunty - always fun, caring and thoughtful. I remember being on Herts County music courses when she was the viola tutor and being very proud she was my aunty...although she did tell my percussion tutor that I was a big gossip!
Alicia Chaffey Not sure whether this is one of my birthdays are Mum's... judging by the coloured party cups I think it must be mine ;) In the music room at the Weston house, where Mum loved the countryside and space. I remember counting 8 cock pheasants in the garden at once, one time!
Alicia Chaffey On the famous merry-go-round in Vence, France. Happy memories.
Grace Sanderson My Dad found this in an old Oakhamian magazine... He said these girls (including Aunty Rosemary) were apparently interviewed by the local news because they were the first girls to go to an English public school.
