Robert Chorng-Ying Chiu

Robert was born on April 7, 1942 to Chiu Guang Xing and Zhang Rong Xian in Shanghai. He loved life and his family immensely. Bob was a great entrepreneur and speaker engineer, holding several patents in his name. He knew how to have fun and enjoy life immensely. Whether it was doing business in China, Berlin or Las Vegas he made friends across the world and quite a name for himself in his chosen profession of loudspeaker manufacture. He was a man who lived life to its fullest, and was known for his loyalty, infectious smile, and personal integrity. Bob is survived by his wife of over 49 years, Cindy Chou-Ru; his son, Alexander; and his daughter Melody, and her family – Tony, Owen (age 10), and Malcolm (age 7). A memorial service is currently on hold due to the COVID-19 virus crisis and the family will share plans as soon as it is available. In the meanwhile, this website was built for Bob Chiu's family and friends to connect online and share their personal memories and stories.
