Las Vegas Superstars show in Greece
Amy Genovese Dad onstage in Greece playing Zorba the Greek. Brought the house down every night.
Jim Tareco Bob was always like another father to me, always refereed to him as "dad", and loved him as one. He is and will always be greatly missed. The date on the back of this is Nov 2000. The Pioneer Saloon, always a fun time. Edit: We will always have the little photo heads. :)
Patrick Genovese This was certainly a highlight in Dad’s career. His expressions says all you need to know about how he felt about Les Paul. NYC Iridium Nightclub NYC circa 2002
Bonnie Genovese It is an understatement to say that I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to have had the gift of Bobby Geno as my Father in Law. He was far more than that to me, a confidant, a comedian, a protector and an amazing entertainer. I love you always BG from BG.
Jim Tareco A little on the blurry side but here is Bob and Joe with a little sideman playing the harmonica at Jack Cutter's back in 2013. He was always the highlight of the gig.
Amy Genovese Angel Stadium 2016. We loved going to Yankees games together...
Craig Tomlinson Bob & Ann joined our Napa wine tasting party in Henderson. The evenings only regret, was Bob didn’t bring his guitar. Bob always had a smile on face & a interesting story to share.. He leaves a great Legacy in his three sons Joe, Patrick & David. Bob did a great job sharing his love of music & life’s values. Bob was proud of his family. Bob & Ann have been great friends to me, I will miss him. Godspeed. Rest In Peace Bobby Geno. Godspeed.
Patrick Genovese Dad really loved telling people I worked for Gibson. He was my guest during CES at Gibson tent.
Amy Genovese Mom & Dad with their boys.
Patrick Genovese There is a funny story attached to this photo. Suffice to say, Tommy Shaw thought a lot of Dad. They connected instantly.
Patrick Genovese This was the last time Dad performed live with the band. April 2018 with Exit 12 at Big Dog’s Draft House. We (Joe/Pat/Dave) had always wanted to play Space Odyssey ever since hearing Dad play it back in the 80’s. We rehearsed it one time, the day before this show. Go easy on us.... this was a lot of fun.
Patrick Genovese Sunday Sauce has always been a staple in our family. This was taken on May 21st, 2018. Mom has come over to give me a long overdue tutorial. (Actually, it was just a cool excuse to hang with Mom and watch her wizardry in the kitchen)

Joe Genovese This was Dad. In the zone.

Patrick Genovese Dad always took us up a few notches...This photo is from a show at Big Dog's Draft House somewhere around 2010 or so.

This is a message from Dad's life-long friend and Jet's bandmate, Chuck Arnold. 14 July 2020 Musical Memories, Bobby Geno What do a couple of musicians, who were entertainers as well, who performed six nights a week, doing three or four performances each night, do in their ‘spare’ time? Well, I know they rehearsed about once a week, and practice...
Joe Genovese This innocuous photo may be the source of the single hardest laugh in Genovese boys’ history. Who took it? Why?
Patrick Genovese A family favorite. Approximately 1984/85
Christi Hodgson To say that he was the "cool uncle" is an understatement and while he's my only uncle, there could never have been one better. He's the one who let me stay up late when I visited LV as a kid, so I could listen to him play guitar. Then wake up early and show me the town - the cool parts. He would make you feel like you were the most important person in the world. It was always a treat when he got on stage, where anyone could tell, he was in his element. And what a thrill to have Bobby Geno perform Georgia on My Mind at our wedding in Ontaio, 2004. He loved being here too, the cool breezes in fall reminded him of home (Rochester). Adrian and I miss him, and have such fond memories. Xoxo What a man.
Ann Genovese I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you. Then I realized that you spent the rest of yours with me.
Knowing Ann for over 25 years, I heard plenty about their fun and her love for Bobby and the life they lived. 52 years is such a blessing, Bobby will be deeply missed and loved, and NEVER forgotten. Be strong cause that’s what he expects of you and yours.
I've always been so happy that I was able to meet Bobby - such a gentleman, gentle person and wonderful talent.
Bonnie Genovese The photo on the left is Bob and Gertie at Queen's University in Belfast. He lovingly told her stories of her name sake that day, while sitting on a bench overlooking the gardens. The photo on the right is my favorite photo because you can't help but smile. If you are wondering, yes, that is biscotti Gertie is eating even though she didn't have teeth.
Barbara Weigelt I will always miss my amazing brother in law. Our mom used to call him H and T (handsome and talented) which of course he most certainly was. Bobby was the kindest man, with always a welcoming hug and smile and was a true brother to me. My earliest memory was when he first visited in Toronto and announced that he intended to marry my sister! I invited him for a meal and remember making “boil in the bag” corned beef sandwiches. Sis was appalled but Bobby made me feel like it was the best food he’d ever had! Keld and I send our most loving thoughts and condolences. Rest In Peace Bobby. We love you ❤️ Barbara and Keld
I don't have a picture of any kind but I would give a memory of Bobby. I worked with him in Laughlin NV in the American Superstars show at the Flamingo Casino. He was a great player and a fine leader. We shared an apartment together for while and Bobby was an easy guy to live with. He worked on his guitar and I worked on my computer doing backing t...
I don’t have any digital photos to share but I do have memories. Bobby Geno was a class act all the way! I loved to watch him jam with his sons (yes, I may have been an Exit 12 groupie back in the day) and had a blast visiting Ireland with the family (especially some quality time in Belfast). Memories I will cherish always. Much love to you all!
Jeannette Bodnar My heart breaks for the Genovese Family. Bobby was a sweet man with a warm and loving soul. He had the best stories from the ‘good old days’ and boy could he could jam on the guitar, I loved watching him play with Exit 12. The relationship, love and respect he had for Ann was so pure and beautiful. And his sons were his great joy, he was very proud of his family. I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Here are a couple of my favorite photos. Sending my love to you all.
Amy Genovese I got the best of both worlds with Bobby Geno... I had the privilege of knowing him as a true artist, and performing with him on a stage that we both loved. And then I married his son, and got to be family. It meant the world to me to see him go from being my friend to being my father in law, and being Papa to my boys. I loved him from the very beginning, and I am so lucky that I got to call him Dad...
Dave Genovese Christmas dinners were always a laugh. I’m convinced we were the only family on Earth to wear these goofy paper crowns. Dad always went along with it. Dad with Warren this past Christmas Eve.
The most precious memory that I have of Bob was when we had a house fire. I remember standing in the street, tears running down my face, and he was the only neighbor who came over and asked us if we needed anything. He was a very nice guy, with a great sense of humor. He will be missed!
Dave Genovese A selfie with Dad. One of the last photos I ever got with him. Feb 4th, 2020. I should have had more.
I don't have a picture, but I just wanted to say that listening to Bobby play was such a highlight in my life. When he played, I was spellbound. What an amazing musician! He was such a dear man. He always made you feel welcome and always had a compliment.
Patrick Genovese Theo Epstein (GM of The Cubs), James Gandolfini, and Joe Bonamassa, Pat Monahan of Train and Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson aka ‘the mountain’ asked for their pictures with Dad....
Penny and Petee Greene Bobby was undoubtedly a talented guitarist and a great husband and father- an all round lovely guy! One of our fondest memories is the day he drove Pete and I out to the visit the Grand Canyon. What a day!! What great memories of that trip, and of our stay with Ann and Bobby, both then and in 1990. Such a generous, giving soul, he'll be sadly missed, Penny and Pete
I have many memories to share about Bobby since we worked together in Las Vegas and Laughlin. One that sticks out was when I gave Bobby a Fender Stratocaster I got at a Laughlin pawn shop, when we worked in American Superstars. The only problem with the guitar was that it was a hot pink color, but Bobby graciously accepted it and he actually used...
So many fond memories of Bobby: watching him play both at home and at a lounge or two in LV, talking baseball and life with him at Patrick's games. One favorite that sticks out was an afternoon spent looking over his photos of Dealey Plaza in Dallas and wrangling over the JFK assassination. He was, in the words of my Tribe, an eydle neshome, a no...
Barb Seed I have known and loved Bobby & Ann for 50 years. We have made many wonderful memories together, sharing family celebrations (Bobby is my son’s godfather), Christmas Eve feasts of cioppino, then sausage & peppers, baby showers, birthdays and, of course, stories Jimmy & Bob would tell about their musical escapades playing opposite each other at the Fremont. In later years, enjoying watching the boys perform, and often Bobby performing with them. He was the master guitarist! He adored Ann and his boys, and was adored by them. He will be forever missed. Most of my old snapshots have yellowed with time, but I came across this one in one of Jimmy’s albums. That Bob was a handsome devil, was he not?
I'm sorry this is late coming, but I was wanting to find pictures that I'll be posting later when I can find them in a box somewhere..... the visual memories I most want to share. For now, I'd just like to say that I have a long history with the family, and it all started with Bobby Geno. He was my Company Manager for my very first live stage sho...
You could not help but smile anytime Bob was around. I am an introverted kind of guy but even the first time I met him he put his arm around me and said, Hey Timmy how the heck are you! You felt like somebody around him. People like that are not easily forgotten. We'll see you on the other side, Bob.
Jeffery Fairchild Bobby was one of a kind! I had the privilege to work him in Greece back in 1999. He was the ROCK of the show and emotional support for everyone in the cast. His professionalism and ability to put everyone at ease with his sense of humor it what got us through! Everyone who met Bobby felt like they were family, he just had a way of making you feel that way. Every morning Bobby and I had coffee in the lobby of the hotel. We’d talk about the show and his family. His awesome children and of corse the most beautiful woman in the world, Ann. He was sooo proud of you all. Can I just say,,, I find it so fricken cool His kids are so incredibly talented like their dad. Love to you all, Jeff. I love this vid
Bobby was something special indeed. He had a magical vibe about him. I knew he had history of being a “real”music man and after meeting and playing in projects with Patrick and eventually with Joe and David, whenever Bobby came to our gigs he would always say “Hello, how are you? How’s the family?” and tell us all “the band sounds great”. It was ...
Patrick Genovese Dad loved shucking clams…here with his granddaughter, Gertie
When I was going through cancer you always told me how you admired the way I was handling the chemo, radiation and losing my hair, you said I was your hero....for me you are the true hero, Bob, May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and unt...
Joe Genovese My brother playing Learning to Fly by Tom Petty. Dad loved this song and really loved when we would play it. Learning to fly, around the clouds. Godspeed Beeg.
One of my best memories about BOBBY was after I had major surgery . BOBBY would come over and visit me several times a week during my recovery. I could not talk very well so he did all the talking. Which I don’t think he minded at all. I’ve heard many stories of his illustrious life. I always appreciated his commitment to visiting me and check...
Patrick Genovese Miss you more every day Dad.
Elaine Gervasi I remember Bobbie as a quiet, shy. polite young man when he came to St. Andrews in the eighth grade. He immediately became the principal’s (Sister Dorothea’s) pet. I had actually met him at a birthday party the previous year in 1952. The year I met Tom, I was invited to their Grandmother Rose’s house for Christmas and the whole family was there along with Bobbie and Louie playing their guitars. What a surprise! Years and miles have separated our families for many years but you both always held a special place in my heart. I’m so sorry for your loss, Ann. The Genovese and Catalfo’s are celebrating together again this year. I have photos and family history if you or your sons are interested. I don’t have any internet presence since I’ve been hacked so many times, so please email me if you want to exchange memories. Fondly, Elaine Gervasi
Bobby always was happy to see you--he enjoyed people. He was kind and loved all the kids. The thing I will miss most was listening to him play--amazing guitarist. I could listen for hours.
Happy Birthday Dad! I miss you everyday. Sure wish we could talk. Somehow I just know you’d understand this one…..
