Robert Brantley

This memorial serves as a place to remember and celebrate the life of our beloved father, husband, son, brother, cousin, nephew, friend, and to-be grandfather, Robert Calvin Brantley. Robert was born to Garland and Beverly Brantley in Wichita Falls, Texas October 29th, 1964. He was raised in Abernathy, Texas and graduated from Abernathy High School, before attending and graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Robert went on to lead a career as a talented and successful computer scientist, and engineer. Robert was a loving and caring father & husband – to us boys, he was our best friend. We’ll miss the thousands upon thousands of hours spent playing games with dad. The absolutely ridiculous storytelling dad was very well known for, and the late night ‘roundtable’ discussions we would have about anything, and quite possibly everything under the Sun. The imparted intelligence, and hunger for constant learning. The great sense of humor, and his hilarious laugh. Robert is preceded in death by his father, Garland. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Linda; his three sons Alec and his wife Tori, Zachary, and Spencer; his mother Beverly; his nephews Matthew and Bryson; and his soon to-be grandchild. While we are deeply saddened to have 'lost' our father, we know you never truly lose someone. We’re immensely grateful and thankful for our time and countless memories with our ‘Dad’.
