A Releasing of the Soul Ceremony was held Thursday, June 15th. at BRQH Walloon, Queensland, Australia - Des' sanctuary and haven of peace. Family service was held Friday, June 16th. at Pinnaroo Crematorium, Brisbane, Queensland. Acknowledgment to his family, wife Marjory, children Steve, Lizzy, Helen, Chris and Phillip, their spouses and/or partners, and his much loved eight grandchildren. A very private, considerate and generous spirited man of depth and dignity. Born in Pomona Qld he lived in Korea for 20 years during his ministry days helping to reconstruct the ravages of war in communities. An academic of some note and well-known in many circles. Life companion and beloved friend of Michael for 17 years.
