Tanuja Carson Dear Nathaniel Family, I am so thankful my family had the opportunity to see Uncle Rajan in Sri Lanka when we visited from Cambodia(where I now live) in 2011(picture). I have many memories of the Gnanadurais and Nathaniels visiting each others' houses when the two families lived in Colombo. Uncle Rajan is related to us by marriage to Aunty who is my father's first cousin. My brothers enjoyed playing backyard cricket together with the Nathaniel boys at Anderson Road where we lived in the early years. We also attended each others' birthday celebrations. Later both families ended up in the same block of apartments in 8th Lane before our family migrated to Australia. My memories of Uncle are his quiet demeanour and friendly smile. I am thankful for his faith in Jesus and the future of hope of seeing him again. My Heartfelt Condolences to Aunty and the rest of the family at this time. Tanuja Carson
David Berryhill We are so sad to lose Rajan, but also know he is in a better place. It's hard to explain how instrumental Rajan was in the adoption of our youngest daughter... Without his help I'm not sure it would have happened. From the beginning of our time in Sri Lanka things seemed to be set against us, but Rajan was a calming influence throughout. With a day and a half before needing to fly back, hopefully with our new daughter, everyone else supposedly helping with the adoption said it can't be finished. Rajan said, "It doesn't hurt to ask". Every place we went to get the paperwork needed, he would politely ask if there was anyway to get our needs expedited. We got her passport in less than an hour! The medical exam was scheduled on the spot and finished promptly! So many things like this happened and with half a day left to go, everything was finished. God used Rajan to work a miracle! While I was only with him for a month, Rajan made a lasting impression and contribution to my family and we will miss being able to see him again... Well at least till we meet again in heaven.

Rajan Nathaniel or Asai mama as we would fondly call him was a man of great distinction and intellect. A man of few words but when he spoke the words would be meaningful and full of substance. Growing up we would always look forward to our family holidays upcountry in Thalawakala at the tea estate and uphold many treasured memories. My heartfelt a...

We have such precious memories of Rajan Annan when he would visit us in Jaffna before going back to India for his studies. We used to sit around the table and talk till late on various subjects. He was a very close cousin and friend to my brother Vetharajen who has gone to be with the Lord. Every time I was in Srilanka he would visit me and spend ...

I was woken up at 12:30 a.m. today with the news that my Dad had passed away in Sri Lanka. After the initial shock and numerous calls to friends and family to help my mom with immediate issues, I have been up all night thinking about my dad and going through pictures. I am thankful for so many many things. My dad may have not been perfect by any me...

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. So many fond memories of Uncle Rajan come flooding in as I pen these few words. For some reason the one word that I always associate with him is ‘noble,’ some profound dignity in the man which I cannot exactly put into words. A man who was stern, disciplined and responsible but yet at the same time ever so lovin...
Shiran Nathaniel Dadda in his childhood
I’m deeply saddened to share the passing away of my father, Rajan Nathaniel. I don’t have words to express how much he impacted and influenced my life. I’ve heard many say that I look and act like him, which is the greatest compliment one can receive when compared to the person they admired the most. His work ethic, sense of responsibility and c...
Sean and Shiran and your families-We are praying for all of you. It is so hard for all of you right now with not being able to be with your Mom. Lean hard on the Lord and you will make it through.
I think it’s the hardest to say goodbye to those we knew in our childhood. The Nathaniel’s and the collective Seeberts have been at Averihena it seems like forever. Our parents were childhood friends and when the next generation came it was just a very normal transition that we would be friends as well My most clear memory of Rajan uncle is his smi...

Ours was a friendship that has lasted over fifty years. Rajan and Selvaranee arrived in Guelph, Ontario in 1968 and lived briefly with us before moving to their own accommodation. Kamala and I soon became close to the young couple. Rajan's patience, understanding, quiet demeanor and simplicity were virtues we admired. Rajan finished his Master's de...
