Preston Thomas McKinney, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, and friend passed away on Monday January 10, 2022 at his apartment in Lubbock, TX. Addiction does not discriminate – everyone you meet is fighting a battle you may know nothing about. Be kind..always. Preston was called home at the young age of 24. Preston was blessed into this world on October 17, 1997 to parents Robert McKinney and Lizette Wilson in Fort Worth, Texas. Preston as a child was inquisitive, bright, funny & smart. He was fascinated with space, history, science and the universe – as an adult, he lived life on his terms, never afraid of pushing the limits and standing for his beliefs. Preston graduated from Colleyville Heritage High School and was currently attending Texas Tech (both of his sister’s Alma Mater) in Lubbock,TX in pursuant of a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Preston loved everyone in his large and extended family and was a loyal and loving friend. He accepted others with or without flaws and without judgment. Preston was brilliant and scary-smart! He was kind and had a sensitive soul. Everyone in his beautiful blended family loved him with abandonment and are broken with the loss of him not here with us on our heavenly Earth. Preston had such a strong and promising future ahead of him. His motto was ‘Strive & Prosper.’ He was too young to go and too good to stay. Preston will be missed dearly and is loved by all.
