    Phil Everly

    Phillip "Phil" Everly is a singer songwriter who passed away at the age of 74 on January 3, 2014 due to complications to chronic lung disease. He is best known as being part of the Everly Brothers and a couple of their biggest hits are "All I Have To Do Is Dream" and "Bye Bye Love." Born 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, Phil and his brother Dan started a singing group, The Everly Brothers and recorded some of their biggest hits in the 1950s. Later in his career, he enjoyed significant UK success in 1983 as a soloist with the album “Phil Everly,” recorded mainly in London. That same year, the duo performed the "Let It Be Me" duet from their reunion concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London on September 23, 1983. In 1986 they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and in 1997 they were awarded a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Their single “Bye Bye Love” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2004, they were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. After his passing, his widow stated,
