Les Griffith Way back in 1964 I shared house with Peter and George W in Thomas St., Broken Hill opposite the Excelsior Hotel. How convenient! What stood out for me was Peter’s love of books and music. He immersed himself in a mystical world which was the inverse of the spotlighting expeditions we undertook during the winter months. In hindsight, the green ginger wine may have taken precedence over the purpose of our outings! I remember Peter as knowledgeable, supportive and, a friend throughout my three years in Broken Hill. Peter was a tremendous support while I was President of the Barrier Teachers’ Association. At Theatre 44 we were delighted to see Pete in the audience for a comedy as he had a wonderful infectious laugh.
