Rest in peace, you provided the safe harbour to shelter in through storms and from where we could sail off on our own journeys and adventures. You built the foundation of who I've become, I wasn't always receptive to the lessons but when I insisted on still working these last 2 days it was because of a lesson you provided in my teen years.

I will always remember you walking beside me to lay a yellow rose beside Dad’s name on the Corrective Services Plaque each year. This year I will be laying a rose for you too!

You taught me to drive, I can remember when I just got my L Plates kangaroo hopping the Monaro along Bombora Point Road with you by my side remaining ever so calm. (That was early days, I drive much smoother now!)
