Pamela Saville (Reddaway) Dear Aunty Trish, I have many memories of my childhood growing up with you, Uncle Brian and my cousins. I always looked forward to our monthly family get togethers. My oldest memory of you was being in a car driving somewhere (I think it was in Mildura) and we were going around a corner and you said,'hold on fellas!'. You had such an endearing warmth about you that I took too. I am so happy that we were able to have this 2019 photo taken together. I am sad I cannot be there in person to say my farewells. I know you are resting well Aunty Trish and I send my love. Your niece, Pamela.

We met Pat a few years ago through Simon and Palma and were introduced to the rest of the Longton family. Quickly we were part of their home and they welcomed us with open arms. We loved Pat, she was funny loving and caring. She loved her family and friends. We love you pat and we are going to miss you. It was a blessing to have known you all these...

Mischi Vernetti I first met Pat in 1988 when I came to Jenny’s wedding. Pat, Brian and all the family made me so welcome and Pat took me on a road trip where we spent 3 lovely days together (pic 1). when I returned with mum in 1992 we took a wonderful trip to Phillip Island To see the penguins that mum never forgot (pic 2) and the last time I returned was in 2008 when yet again Pat took time out to take me out and I will never forget spending that time with her. I know you will all miss her very much, as will I. Much love to you all. Mischi x

Frances Sullivan Thank you, Pat, for your wonderful contribution to life in Montmorency. In particular, - your dedication and commitment to managing, for so many years, the Monty Entertainers group that performed weekly at a variety of Aged Care Homes and Senior Citizens clubs across many suburbs. You were so innovative with song lists and matching costumes. You cared for each member and the welfare of the entire group, insisting on social coffees after weekly rehearsals and dinners throughout each year. You also managed our solo singer, Brian, very capably; - your unfailing support for St Francis Xavier Parish functions, fundraisers, and so much more, including your faithful visits to so many people who were ill or confined to their home; - your leadership, with Brian, of an SFX Parish Family Group for many years during which you hosted many wonderful functions in ‘The Abbey’ behind your home; - your support for the local Salvos’ Friday afternoon Oldies’ group; … and so much more! Thank you, Pat. May you rest in peace.

Wonderful memories of Pat May she Rest In Peace May condolences to Brian and all her beautiful family

Marie Wood Dear Pat. We have shared so many good times with you and Brian in the Henderson_Longton_Wood Family Group over the last 25 years. The casserole dinners in the Abbey were an annual highlight. So many of your friends in the group have shared the memory of how kind and welcoming you were to their family when they first came to the parish. Here you are sailing up the Maribyrnong on the Blackbird – the centre of everything. Gerard and Marie Wood.

Ian and I first met Pat a couple of years ago when we joined Probus. She was always very welcoming and we enjoyed many happy times at Probus meetings and trips. I do remember her whistle that her daughter mentioned at the funeral. She would whistle to let Brian know where she was, which I found very endearing. Brian, I unfortunately did not meet ...

Betty Johnson We met Pat and Brian as foundation members of the Eltham Probus Club probably in the early nineties, and from chatting with Pat we felt we knew the family with updates every so often of their lives. When I look back on Probus shared adventures to places of interest and holidays, we always enjoyed good company. The Abbey was a special place for Probus Saturday Nighters and especially the laughs we had practicing for the Probus Christmas review. Pat was a past President and continued her support in many activities. The photo is of a Probus visit to the Botanical Gardens and the beginnings of Guilfoyle’s Volcano that is now a patchwork of drought tolerant plants. We send our love to Brian and the Longton family. I met Pat over thirty years ago, and saw her at regular intervals (though not often) from that time, mainly at family celebrations. She was always bright and energetic, but the main thing I remember about being in her company was her genuine care and interest in people and things, and her ability to create connections with people without every sayi...
