Shane Clifford This is Paolo with his mother Loly. They loved each other very much
Shane Clifford Paolo loved his two beautiful children dearly. This is one of his favourite photos
Natalia Kollarikova I have met Paolo back in 2010 when I have become Loly’s goddaughter. He was a loving & very caring father, son & friend to all. Few month ago in the church he had this idea which he shared with me but at that time I thought it’s not possible, but now I know he would have done it. Paolo with God’s grace I will make your wish come true. You are in our hearts & prayers until we meet again. You will be greatly missed ❤️ May you from heaven watch over us all 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Dom Caprani RIP carissimo Paolo Thank you for over 30 years of friendship....Un abbraccio Dom xxx
Dom Caprani I just heard the saddest news of your passing. Carissimo Paolo I have so many wonderful memories. I had the pleasure of being in the same class as you at university. You were always a true friend - kind, loyal and always there for me. Thank you for being part of my life for over 30 years. Until we meet again..Un abbraccio Dom
Dom Caprani 1995 Urbino, Italy Unforgettable year spent with great friends. You made a huge impact on all our lives. RIP carissimo Paolo. Un abbraccio Dom
I first met Paolo when we joined ICI's graduate program in 2005. He was genuinely a nice guy who spent time to get to know everyone on the program and quiz all the senior managers who came to give talks. He helped to bring me out of my shell and always looked forward to seeing him each quarter. As we hit it off, we coordinated our accounting studie...
Paolo lived in London a few months before starting his MBA. We lived close to each other and enjoyed the delights of west London. What a summer. We spent too many evenings at the Tyroller Hut, where Paolo would sweet talk in a group on their assumption we were there to dine!
A huge bag of laughs from the day we met
I met Paolo properly on the first party at LBS, day 1; we were all dancing in the school! He was always smiling:-) I’m not sure I ever saw him not smiling. But my favourite memory of him was in one of the many rugby/touch rugby tournaments where he took it upon himself to teach us all the tradition of chanting rugby songs as loud as he could until...
Paolo and I met in the quad at LBS as we got assigned to the same study group along with Ricardo, Lynn, Rick and Maren. Paolo always kept our group lively and fun and ensured we ended up at the pub together after getting any work out of the way. He would often say something outrageous and we would all laugh about it even if one of us was the butt o...
I met Paolo in the first week of studying at London Business School in the leafy quad off Regents Park on a hot August afternoon. The rest of the class were just finding their feet in a new environment, tentatively making new friends. Paolo was busy collecting money... but not for himself. Two of our classmates had lost their laptops on arrival...
Humberto Manueco Any given day at Strathmore Court (casamellow) enjoying dinner with our London “family”.
Humberto Manueco There were 10 of us (LBSers) living in 2 apartments at Strathmore Court near the school. Paolo was like a flat mate spending time with us -he was the 11th. This is a Secret Santa dinner that we did at home on the Christmas of 2004. Paolo was always laughing!! His laugh was contagious!!
Jordan Shapiro Santa Claus Pub Crawl 2004 - Legend. As part of the general fun-gineering crew at LBS, he always had a hand in making great events and memories happen. I promise, Paolo is in this flash-mob-before-there-were-flash-mobs somewhere... Bonus points to whomever finds him first.
Humberto Manueco The Santa Pub Crawl was one of our most cherished traditions at LBS. Paolo was a jolly Santa spreading his happiness to the Londoners during that Christmas period!
Julian Williams One of the highlights of our time back at business school. A memorable trip with 300 fellow students and partners. Paolo and I partnered at the BabyFoot (aka fussball) and Rugby competitions. We all had such an amazing time.
Despite not being an LBS student, like many of his friends, we gravitated to the Windsor for 6 nations and world cups. Paolo was passionate about the Italian team - handing out the lyrics of the Italian anthem which as the tournaments went on, the whole pub knew without. Paolo was great at bringing people together for these events, whatever the res...
Christine Walcher I was very lucky to share a flat with Paolo for a number of years, like and older and very ‘protective’ brother he always looked after me and me after him as much as he’d let me. So many beautiful fun memories with our mutual friends.. my favourite being Italy winning the World Cup in 2006. Lots of singing at the Windsor Castle ( remember the printed italian anthem??) cheering and … it had to be done.. head to Trafalgar Square and jump into the fountain!
Shane Clifford Rugby was one of Paolo's passions from an early age. He played for the Under-17s Italian national team and while at LBS he was President of the rugby club, leading the charge on and off the pitch
Marleen Enright LBS MBA Summer Ball
Shane Clifford At London Business School, Paolo made many new lifelong friends. Paolo was larger than life, full of ideas, laughter and mischief
Christine Walcher LBS Graduation Day. Lots of happy smiles, wouldn’t have missed it for the world.
Jordan Shapiro So many amazing memories through our two short years at LBS - here are a bunch of random ones, including Paolo at Sundowners, at the Rugby Alumni party, recovering from Rugby injuries and letting his inner-child loose in Liecester Square
Jordan Shapiro A few more memories from a milestone moment so many of us shared together
Christine Walcher Mi manchi Paolino.
Julian Adkins Paolo was a groomsman at our wedding. Here I saw he was a hit with parents as well. He gave me a lot of support in the run up to the day. Thank you😎
Julian Adkins Paolo joined my friends for a skiing weekend in Austria. Too many stories from that weekend and will keep looking for photos. It was a blast. Lots of dressing up on the slopes and for the evenings... if he wasn't initiating these antics, he wasn't far behind!
Jordan Shapiro A few months after moving home from the UK, we went back for a visit, I think Paolo was more interested in catching up with Isla (now 14)...
Sarah Estaun I met Paolo during the MBA, we were not close Friends but I remember him as a British Gentleman with Italian flair, always smiling in every party and Sundowner evening. After the MBA, I bumped into him 3-4 times a year in MBA drinks organised by Paco (Francisco Moreno, another MBA classmate). I mentioned to Paolo during one of these drinks that my husband and me were considering buying a property in Ealing. Paolo lived and was very proud of Ealing. Paolo offered to show us Ealing on a weekend morning. My husband and I met him at Ealing Broadway, we thought he was going to give us a 20 minute tour of Ealing. We were wrong, Paolo, went completely out of his way, he picked us up by car and showed us all the different areas of Ealing he liked and lived in. He spent a whole morning driving us around showing us one by one the nicest streets, the schools he would recommend. Christian and I were very impressed and thankful. It was impossible not to love Ealing after visiting it with Paolo! At the end of the tour we met Janet and Alex for a quick lunch. We had a wonderful day thanks to Paolo and his family. Man proposes, God disposes, we loved a beautiful property in Ealing but we did not buy it since we decided to buy a House in the outskirts of Madrid in 2014. We didn´t know that we would move to Madrid in 2019 and be happy here. I think my daughter Christina, now 12 years old, was at the lunch with Alex, sadly I haven´t found any pictures. Paolo and my husband Christian have birthdays on the same day, 23/06. That random fact made me care more about Paolo and remember Paolo´s birthdays for the last years and be able to text him on that day. Janet, Alex and Eva your welcome to come for a holiday in Madrid. We have a nice guest bedroom. Christina is 12 years old and our son Christian is 9 years old. Big hug from Madrid! Sarah, Christian Sr, Christina and Christian Jr +34 605 936355
Thiri Thant Mon Paolo at Shane’s wedding in 2015.
Jordan Shapiro Last time we all got together as a class (and that I saw Paolo) was at our 10yr reunion (COVID prevented our 15th from happening :( ).
Thiri Thant Mon Paolo and Shane were trying to recreate an older photo. While they were preparing, I took this video. I don’t quite recall exactly why it was so important to recreate the photo , so somebody else will have to add this in another memory, but it was absolutely hilarious and classic.
Sarah Estaun Wednesday 13th of February 2019. It was my birthday, my mother and me walked the kids to school and attended school assembly. We decided to go and grab a coffee at Starbucks in Knightsbridge. As soon as we sat to drink our coffee Paolo passed our table. It was just by pure luck he was there after a business meeting. He joked with his lovely cheeky smile saying that he was there for my birthday. We had a lovely chat. He made my day extra special.
Kev Av A few fun facts about The times I met Paolo; I passed by his house in Hanwell, and being jealous of it, without knowing it was his..! When i moved back from America, he told me he lived a couple of streets away from us in Philadelphia. But many many years ago! We both appreciated unreliable Alfa Romeos! Back in December 2021, I have been assaulted by a neighbor from Shirley Gardens with my daughter and I asked for his help as he was just Passy by Loly’s. He helped to calm down the situation… On the 12th of July 2021, heavy rains in London flooded our newly built ground floor flat… he haloed for hours with his son Alex to evacuate the water on the street. Both didn’t hesitated a second to help and organize a human chain to evacuate as much as possible this filthy water. One of the favorite toys of my daughter was given by Eva, Because she would give and share. My daughter wears Eva’s warm coat and she loves it; because he would give and share. We both shared great values, and have been helping here and there when needed, even during tough times in his life. I knew him only for 3 years, but will be a remembered advisor and friend for ever. I hope he will guide me sometimes, when he will pass by… God bless him. Loly, you raised a great son, and now you have to live with his memories. It is unfair. Your grand children’s will carry on sharing his legacy and generosity. Thank you for that. Kevin, Julie and Leonor
Sarah Estaun Paolo sent this message to me the day my Mom passed away. He became a great friend and was an amazing support! Thank you Paolo! I have been praying for you. "Hold her hand and pray with / for her. You’ve given her a gift which means that you can actually be relieved for her. It’s ok. Are you there? https://youtu.be/jSdLG0sHv3g Let Our Lady console you... believe me, she does. Pray the rosary; tomorrow is Friday, so the sorrowful mysteries. Ti voglio bene cara If you need something, let me know. If you want to have a chat, let me know. Thinking of you x How are you cara? Let’s speak in the next days ? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/news/retropolis/wp/2017/10/13/our-lady-of-fatima-the-virgin-mary-promised-three-kids-a-miracle-that-70000-gathered-to-see/%3foutputType=amp Trust and believe. Faith is beautiful and so are you How can I help you from London? Hola guapa, sorry if I come on strong with Our Lady sometimes; I love her... Just a short message to tell you that you are not alone... your friends love you I look up and see the blue To this I must be true, A great expanse of space Which enflames my placid face, And I realise my humble place, Here, within God’s heavenly grace, And so, as I gaze through the morning dew, ‘Tis to my heart I must be true. Sarah Estaun Sadly my mother passed away from COVID on the 15/04/2021, that was exactly 10 years and one day after my Dad passed away. Paolo was an amazing support to me during the period when my Mom was sick and the weeks after her passing. Five days after her death Paolo sent me a Whatsapp message to check on me. When I told him I was a bit down he sent me this :-) 20/04/2021 Paolo wrote "When I was a child in the 70s (born in 74), I would go crazy when I heard this song, jumping up and down... (viva Espana, obviously, listen to it). my mum found it again last year, let the kids listen to it, then I obviously heard it 100 times (Eva is like me and she similarly loves it). The point is that it brought back memories and it makes me laugh and smile hearing this song again and it brings me more joy thinking of that stupid kid 40 years ago than the time itself back then. What you have are memories and the knowledge you helped her when her life depended on your help in the last month. My little girl, now 6, in my WhatsApp photo. My little princess and shadow. When is the funeral? Ricordati che I tuoi amici ti amamo. https://youtu.be/W7aPp-4z-uw 05/05/2021 Paolo wrote "Are you comfortable enough to have a chat this week? Or should I leave you alone a little longer? I have been praying for you x"
