  1. Clare HughesI have many fond memories of Norma.. mostly from the early days of Strathfield Private Hospital where as a young Irish nurse , Norma mentored/ nurtured/ ( and at the start scared us a bit lol) and encouraged us to be the best nurses we could be. She had the highest standards and was passionate about the care and professionalism her staff portrayed. We continued our friendship after I returned to Ireland and Norma was always delighted to hear about our kids and what they were up to. ( photo of some of our 1west staff) My first Christmas card every year.. usually 1st/2nd of December was from Norma. I was lucky to meet up again in 2019 when I visited Australia (photo) and was looking forward to doing the same next month but not to be. I will miss that and our phone calls/ messages but I will always have my special memories. Rest in peace Norma 13th March, 2025
