Dad was born in Owensboro, Kentucky. He moved to Lexington where he met my Mom while attending the University of Kentucky. Mom gave birth to my oldest sister Dawn, I fell in the middle (Nick), and Laura is the youngest. We liked to call him Pop. He was a rock, patient, wise and a leader. Our Dad is the greatest man we've ever known.

Nick arnold We grew up in Cardinal Valley and Dad wanted to bring a positive impact to our community. He went door to door campaigning to become the councilman in the 11th district. We would go with him sometimes and handout flyers and meet the residents. He finish 3rd, a couple thousand votes behind the winner. I recall a gentleman with the last name Hester won with 15,000 +. Pop did remarkedly well. He paid for all of the campaign material out of his pocket.
