Meghan Bleu Radford of Santa Cruz, CA, was born on October 19, 1974, and died on November 1, 2023. The beloved daughter of Nadine Nemec and Ken Radford, she is survived by her mother, father, brother Jacob, stepfather Peter, and stepmother Betty. Ken Radford Visiting Green Gulch farm, Father Ken and Stepmother Betty. A cold, overcast day but had a great tour of the farm, Lunch later at the Dipsea Cafe in Mill Valley. Meghan ordered twice what we could eat !

Meghan was great to hang out with. During the last year of her life, she and I went to see several films at the local theatre and, by custom, we had to have the latest from the Penny Ice Creamery. We sat and talked politics and Buddhism.

Nadine Nemec This point in time was one of Meghan's darkest, but it was also a one of her greatest. The day she chose sobriety has always been one of the most important dates to Meghan. She had the strength to overcome her addiction and stay sober for her last twelve years. Austin Zen Center's AA meetings opened that door and led to a community of support.

Ken Radford From Anne Henry I was a young girl when I met Meghan. We got along immediately. It felt like she was always a part of my life… she was friendly when she introduced herself. I remember her coming from the hallway and as she emerged, I was instantly struck by her beauty. I was not a very confident young person, and I just thought – wow, I’ll never be that beautiful. Another memory that stands out is when we were a little older and she came over to my place where I was still living with my mom. It was a hot day and she decided to braid my hair. So, she took a bag of tiny little rubber bands (for hairdressing) and went to work. I didn’t realize exactly what she was doing. And it wasn’t exactly corn rows… a little more like Coolio, before Coolio was cool. It was funny as anything and I really enjoyed our connection and time together. In any case, when my aunt married her dad, she became my cousin and I have thought of her as such ever since. I loved her, though I hadn’t seen her for a very long time (I wanted to visit her recently) that didn’t work out. I don’t think I will ever meet someone that I think of as beautiful as Meghan is to me.
