Matt was born at Box Hill Hospital on Wednesday 26 March, 1969. He was the first child of Kay & Allan George and the first grandchild of Gil & Dorothy Ralston and Jack & Alma George. He had two sisters, Joanne and Belinda and was treasured uncle to Ella, Kurtis and Asha. Matt's family lived in Heathmont for over 30 years and he went to school at Marlborough Primary School, Yarra Valley Grammar and Heathmont High School. Although he worked at Colonial Mutual, AMP and KPMG over the years, his passion throughout his life was music. Initially suffering from crohn's disease, Matt got Golden Staph in the 1990's. He was in and out of hospital (we have seen his last facebook entry) but they could not get rid of the infection. This time was just one too many for our beautiful and only Son. His Mum and Dad had a Thai roast with him on Saturday evening, 15 November and said goodnight. He suffered an anaphylactic shock which resulted in a cardiac arrest at about 9am on Sunday 16 November from which he never recovered. He died peacefully under the special care of Cabrini ICU at 8.04 pm on Saturday 22 November with his Mum, Dad and sisters Jo and Belinda with him. We loved Matt and we know he loved his family. He leaves a gaping hole which will take a long time to heal. In the words of his Gran "We think of you living in our hearts Matt, and of those you touched along the way". Until we meet again our most precious boy, our love always Your family.
