Marjorie Chase Linda and Marge ?1957. From Linda's mom: "I can think of a couple of stories about Linda when she was a little girl. When she was about 4 yrs. old we took her to a carnival. She loved the rides on the ferris wheel and we got her some cotton candy. Then it was time to go home and she started crying. She didn't want to leave. I had only a kleenex to wipe her face. So she looked strange with kleenex stuck on her face.  Another time when she was a little older she was eating a hamburger. All of a sudden she started crying and we didn't know what the matter was. She bit her own finger.  When she was older she was always leaving hr purse in someone's car. Several times a person would have to come back to give it to her. We miss her terribly.
Marjorie Chase It took quite a few shots to get this picture. Year is a guestimate!

Dexter Blanchard Linda and I cut and peeled logs to make a cozy 16 x 16 log cabin in Chase, ten miles north of Talkeetna. We took the train and walked a trail in, and during the winter we parked in Talkeetna and took our sled dogs to get there. Linda was wonderful and adventurous.

Rebecca Blanchard Two peas in a pod. While Emily's hair was just growing in, Mom's was falling out from chemo. The breast cancer from decades ago had come back but there was so much to live for, she fought it like a warrior.

We could not have bought this type of experince anywhere. Linda did not complain and we think she enjoyed our company. RSP, Linda you and Dexter have a very special life. I am sure you live onward with Dexter and many others every day..

Rebecca Blanchard Mom was SOOO happy when she heard she was going to have a grandchild, she had waited so long and nearly gave up hope. She travelled to the Baja and stayed with me from March until June, through some hot weather and our rental had no AC. She didn't like the idea of us having Emily in Mexico, but she wasn't going to miss it for the world. She was a wonderful support and I was so grateful to have her help. She and Emily bonded from day one and were the very best of buddies from then on.

Durrae Johanek We met Linda and Dexter in New Mexico while snowbirding in our campers. We all spent Christmas in Columbus, NM, where after a community dinner, we tracked down the mule train that was headed cross-country, in memory of the driver's mother.
Durrae Johanek In Columbus we discovered our mutual love of sunsets. We laughed about sending this shot to each other. I think of her with every sunset, anywhere.
Rebecca Blanchard Time goes by too fast and Emily is almost as tall as Gramie!
Rebecca Blanchard What great fortune to be born to wholesome, loving parents. I miss my mom dearly. She lived life well. She gave love, encouragement, compliments, smiles and laughter. She nurtured people, animals, and plants around her. She stopped to admire and appreciate the beauty in the world, she noticed small details. If she had something good she would share it. Love you always Mom.
Rebecca Blanchard Hold your loved ones tight, you never know how long you'll have them.
Durrae Johanek Linda sent me this pic of the Iditarod K-9 fairy group, 2019. I had no idea what they were but enjoyed seeing Linda in the group. She was game for just about anything and had the most perfect sense of humor.

Rebecca Blanchard Couldn’t take her anywhere. One of my favorite memories. (Marne)
Rebecca Blanchard Linda always brought silly gifts to our dinners. She brought babushkas this time. Oh, Linda was so fun (Marne Kenshalo)
Margaret Volz One of my favorite memories is traveling to Africa in 2005 with Linda, Dace, Marne, and Patsy. One early morning as we were down in Ngorongoro Crater we came upon this incredible flock of flamingos. Linda, in her state of wonderment said, "That is the most flamingos I've ever seen." We thought this was hilarious because we imagined there weren't that many flamingos chasing down the loons on Honeybee lake. Marg
Margaret Volz When I think of Linda, I think of her ability to enjoy each moment and enhancing those moments with her laughter and gentleness. She was always up for an adventure! Africa 2005 and her Christmas card ? year.
So many memories of Linda and Dexter, friending Mellen and me for so many years and so many holidays. One great memory is Linda and her gang with some great skit every year for the "Talent or Not" show of Willow Winter Carnaval. My favorite was when they used lots of padding to dress like Sumo wrestlers, then bumped and tumbled each other all over...
