04 Sep 1951 - 01 Jul 2021This memorial timeline is designed as a place where fellow associates, staff and clients may share memories, pictures and stories of their interactions with beloved small animal practitioner Dr. Leslie R Lynch. Leslie R. Lynch, DVM (University of Georgia '83), age 69, died in Higganum, CT on July 1, 2021. For those that knew her, it was no surprise that she graduated with honors at UGA and was awarded the Blanch D. Following graduation she lived in the Finger Lakes Region of NY and worked in a small animal practice in Penfield for two years. In 1985, she joined the Cromwell Veterinary Hospital. She eventually became a partner at the practice where she worked for 29 years before retiring in 2014. Dr. Lynch was actively involved with the CT Veterinary Medical Assn. and served on their the CVMA Board of Directors for many years during her career. Annually, she attended the Northern New England Alpine Symposium in New Hampshire and the Fred Scott Feline Symposium at Cornell. She was an avid supporter of the Protectors of Animals Shelter group from whom she adopted two wonderful Rat Terrier rescues for her own family. Dr. Lynch loved being a veterinarian, it was truly her life's work and it reflected in her daily interactions with colleagues and staff as well as her kind and compassionate visits with pets and their persons. Dr. Lynch is survived by David Lynch, her husband of 49 years. Memorial donations may be made in Dr. Lynch's name to her favorite charity, the Habitat for Humanity at www.habitat.org.
