Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain was an American musician and artist who departed this life tragically at the age of 27. Cobain was best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of the Seattle band Nirvana. Before he was famous, for a time Cobain worked as a swimming instructor for kids at the YMCA in Aberdeen. He was born 1967 in Aberdeen, Washington and as a child had an imaginary friend named Boddah. While starting out as a young band, Kurt Cobain insisted Nivana practice and rehearse at least five nights a week. Practice made perfect apparently because when he was 22, he recorded (with Nirvana) the album “Bleach” on Sub Pop Records and he became a star with the release of their album “Nevermind” in 1991. Songs such as “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “Come As You Are” and “All Apologies” became instant hits. Other popular songs are “Lithium” in 1992 and “Heart-Shaped Box” in 1993. Since their debut Nirvana has sold over 25 million albums in the US, and over 75 million worldwide. In 2014Cobain was inducted - along
