  17. Shirley Swai Dad, Baba Kipsang. I thank God I crossed your path as an uncle and a mentor. I recall him checking in our workshop and His first word was am impressed, you can do better. He asked for a pen and a paper, I was expecting worse 🤔. He went ahead and sketched an abstract looking like a tiny sling bag, he said' Jepkoech, if you figure out and come back with that design, I will invest @roryanleather and sell all over the world, I understand the market. Then he laughed and walked away and with a salute see you later" that was 5 years. COVID phase. 2023 I started revisit the sketch tho lost original. I did two designs and presented to him, he was impressed I took the challenge seriously. He did his feedback and mentioned the purpose of the sling was a passport and phone sling bag and from today you are Jepkoech THE CEO. Dad was not felling better by then and he asked we hold on kiasi and he gets better we finalize the final original design to the world. To Dad, Baba Kipsang, yes THE KABU PHONE SLING will be our company's international brand. To this community, let's make HIS dream come through and I retail my title Jepkoech The CEO. Yes we Can. Rest well in peace Dad. I will share our last pyotoype 15th May, 2025

  27. Robert SwaiI wish we had one final encounter, one final conversation. I wish you gave me one final advice. I wish we said goodbye. I will miss being under your care. Losing you is so sad, but I am comforted knowing you are now in God’s care. You were a very brave and bold man. You commanded respect in every room. Everybody knew how principled you were. Yet you still managed to accommodate people from all walks of life. You were generous, kind and caring. You were measured both in talk and in silence. Your candor, humor, charm and charisma was infectious. You planned meticulously even to your last breathe. You oozed grace even in your ailing. You took care of us well. You loved mom dearly and devotedly. Your grandchildren are still asking for you. Stepping into your shoe will be one hell of a task. Nevertheless, you prepared me well. I will immortalize you through my actions, throughout my life. Your memory will never fade. Your legend lives on. You will be missed. May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face. The rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand. It was the greatest honor of my life to be your son. Rest in Power Dad.15th May, 2025
  28. Eric ChesireI have known Ken as a friend from 1997 while he was working in Nairobi. We continued being friends when he relocated to Eldama Ravine. I have witnessed his children grow from the time time they were in high school to date. Ken was a walking dictionary in most aspects of life. He was a streetwise man. He was a genuine and a straight forward man. He knew what to say at the right time. One lesson I learnt from him was the deep rooted love for his family. He places it first above all other things. To the family I say poleni sana during this difficult season. I have a lost friend who gave genuine advice. Rest in peace Ken15th May, 2025

43. Kipkazi Moi The passing on of my friend, Ken Swai is very sad. This is indeed a huge loss especially to his family. It's also to Emom & Ravine communities etc. He'll be greatly missed. Ken was an accomplished IATA professional. This is very rare in our area as not many people have ever ventured into Travel Consultancy as a profession. Personally, I've known Ken since when I first went to Nairobi to start University. During weekends when free, I would visit him & his bro Joseph Cheboiwo Swai at their residence. Additionally; I've collaborated with him in business projects; and at one point we formed an investment group in association with his bro Joseph Cheboiwo, Stanley T. Kibet, Jonah K. Tomno and myself etc My thoughts & prayers to God to grant the Family the strength, fortitude + healing at this difficult time. May Almighty God rest the soul of Ken Kipchumba Swai in everlasting peace. *LEGENDARY MEMORIES FROM KEN'S WORK /SOCIAL LIFE:* *>>* He executed his duties par excellence; no wonder he was given an opportunity by the Israelis to work for EL AL Israeli Airlines after early retrenchment from KQ Airlines; *>>* After the fall of Apatheid in South Africa, he was amongst the very first few Kenyans to travel to South Africa wherein he bought a vehicle and drove it all the way to Kenya; *>>* Ken was streetwise, very fast learner, people friendly, very articulate, eloquent individual who had many friends eg whenever we strolled Nairobi streets he would stop several times to greet his friends who came across diverse origins cutting across the divide, tribe, gender etc .13th May, 2025
  44. Collins SwaiYou were more than a father — you were my guide, my hero, my greatest source of strength. I remember your laughter, your firm hand on my shoulder, and the countless lessons you taught without ever raising your voice. You lived with humility, worked with honor, and loved us with everything you had. The quiet moments we shared, your words of wisdom, and your comforting presence — they remain etched in my heart. You celebrated our wins, stood with us in losses, and always reminded us to walk with integrity. Though you're no longer with us, your spirit lives on — in every act of kindness, every choice guided by love, and every memory that brings tears and smiles all at once. You were a great man, Dad — and I’m proud to carry your name and your legacy. Rest well, Baba. Until we meet again. 13th May, 2025
