Kenneth Ford, 77, passed away on April 5, 2023 surrounded by loved ones after fighting prostate cancer. Ken was born to Marilyn and Harold in 1945 near Boston, where he enjoyed childhood with his sister Lynn, playing golf and baseball, being a summertime golf caddy, and developing a lifelong sweet tooth thanks to his dad’s candy business. After high school, Ken attended Boston College where he found a love of business thanks to an admired professor. This set the foundation for a lifelong career in business, starting in eyewear and maturing in telecommunications. Ken was driven, had a keen intellect, loved teamwork, and was energized by business opportunities and problem solving. This accelerated his career, took him across the country for new upper management roles, put him on TV, and allowed him to lead as CEO. Ken also had an entrepreneurial spirit, exploring his own side-ventures. Over his career, Ken made many close, enduring friendships. After college, Ken started a family with prior spouses, having 5 kids whom he loved - Jonathan, Joshua, Monique, Kirsten and Craig. Outside of work, Ken loved golfing with friends and his son, racquetball, hiking, going to art shows and museums, and, most passionately, photographing nature. Ken had a deep intellectual curiosity and enjoyed studying the world around him - learning about the wonders of nature, Native American culture, his genealogy, and learning about (and buying!) the latest tech gadgets. In his later years, Ken’s appreciation for nature deepened, hiking extensively in nature sites across the West with his wife Jeanne. Ken’s loved ones will greatly miss his integrity, sense of humor, and gentle, grounded, loyal, rational, generous, endlessly optimistic, and caring spirit. Ken, may you be in a better place, enjoying a perfect filet mignon, coffee ice cream, and a new perspective on the nature you loved so much. "You da man." We love you*
