Celebrating the life of

Kau-Fong Low

27 Sep 1951 - 27 Apr 2020

Written by Sarah Chin: I was my mother's everything and she was mine. My mom was the most humble person I know and also the most giving, and I strive to be even a fraction of the person she was. When asked what she would like when the worst came, she just said "What would you like, Sarah? What do you think would be nice?" That was my mother. She never thought of herself first but what others would find joy in. I knew her as my mother, but many of you knew her as a sister, a friend, or a surrogate for whatever support you needed in life. I may have been my mother's only daughter but to many she was their mother as well. She had a constantly running list of people in her life that she felt the need to check in on. Often when we spoke she would ask "How's...?" and she wouldn't stop until she was satisfied everyone was doing okay. I invite everyone to share the memories they have of her here, and remember the way she impacted so many lives. Kau-Fong Low was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. After finishing school and helping raise her five siblings, she moved to England followed by an immigration to Canada. After raising her daughter, she pursued a career as an Educational Assistant and helped support children of all needs. Her many hobbies included being part of the Richmond Hill Horticultural Society and raising monarch butterflies in the summer.
