Kel Fausto My Lola passed away a while ago at 98 years old. She is such a fighter. She valued education and you could not keep her in one place for so long. She loved travelling. She was an attorney and a mom of nine. She raised 2 lawyers, a doctor, a nurse, an engineer, an accountant, a dentist, a free spirit, and a labor leader. She survived 2 wars and the arrival of 3 great grandchildren. She can never get enough of Sound Of Music. She's a badass member of Gabriela. At her age, her witty comebacks still keeps us spinning on our seats. I could never forget how tight she held her sister's hand while talking -- after being reminded that her sister was still alive (her sister was 102yo). She always laughed when she sees modern BGC. When she was a young girl, her dad stepped on shit and decided that it was a sign of a bad investment to buy property there. She loved going on long roadtrips. She broke the record for eldest person to enter Palawan's Subterranean River. The previous holder... was also she, 5 years prior. She spent her 95th birthday swimming (sitting) on a beach at Malcapuya island, witnessing what became the Internationally renowned and highly competitive gathering of very confident over-achievers, otherwise known as "The Gaite-lympics". At 98, she dictated the directions to Baguio through Naguillan road, when Waze was having trouble connecting... while telling us the history of that road and more. We drove to Baler and back all in 1 day. She ranted about her trip to the Sistine Chapel that hurt her neck for looking up so much. To my lola, it was all about the journey, not the destination. And yes, Lola, it was I who finished your 2 rims of Yakult in the fridge everytime you restocked for the week some 23 years ago. Happy trip, Lola Suping, and Rest In Peace. ❤️? ?️?️?
