Jonathan Brandis

Jonathan Brandis was an American actor who passed away tragically at the young age of 27. He was a young model and performed in many TV commercials. He was best known for NBC series "seaQuest DSV" where he portrayed Lucas Wolenczak. Born 1976 in Danbury, Connecticut, he began his modeling career in 1980 as a four year old. Two years later, he joined the cast of American soap opera "One Life to Live." In 1989 he made a guest appearance in "Full House" which led to the next year him portraying Bastian in "The Neverending Story II: The Next Chapter." After starring in many commercials, in 1992 Brandis starred in “Ladybugs” with Rodney Dangerfield. As a teenager he was cast in one of his best-known roles, Lucas Wolenczak in "SeaQuest DSV" in 1993. The next year, he won the Young Artist Award for "Best Youth Actor Leading Role in a Television Series" for his portrayal of Lucas Wolenczak.
