This is a sad day. There are no words to express our deep appreciation of Mr. Hoye; having been supportive to our Dad and Mum over many years; visiting and chatting over many years. And in the latter years of our Mum visiting and supporting her and understanding who she was and her deep devotion to all of her children and their families. He was there when we couldn't and he offered a space for our mum who overtime became more of a home person. Thankyou Mr. Hoye, thankyou. I'm listening to speakers as I write and so wonderful. I am 70 and I can remember having Mr. Hoye (that voice) come into the classroom at high school in Bathurst! I'll never forget it! He must have been a Director or something. Anyway, may you rest in the faith of his beautiful life and love. Kindest regards, Beverley Cartwright
A lovely service. John gave the eulogy at my father Ted Warwick's funeral in 2008. I was saying to my mother that I remember how moving, genuine and apporpriately lighthearted John made it. John had a gift with words as did my father who was local minister at Boggibri during John's first teaching appointment. Their friendship continued when Dad became a teacher and was working in small country schools.. I was pleased to tune in from Mittagong and celebrate the life a close friend of my father (dec) and mother, who is also watching. Thoughts are with John's family and friends. Atruly beatiful service. Philip Warwick
A very fitting tribute to a good man and a life well lived.
A lovely service to celebrate a great life. Thank you
What a beautiful service. A lovely reflection on Uncle John’s life. I will miss his calls and his interest in everything in my life and my daughter’s life.
