    Family and friends

This Timeline was created to help collect our memories in a single place online. Jim was larger than life in a gentle way. He had a big smile under his walrus mustache. His passion was scuba diving and his love for me and the canine kids was something special. He was the most highly principled man I've ever known. Thank you all for your prayers, hope and positivity. Jackie Stuart Baby Jim

    Jackie S. The twin boys...1955

Jim is my first cousin his father and my mother were siblings. I remember when Uncle Bill brought the kids to Safford to visit. It was fun to get to spend time with cousins. Dick and Jim, as they were called then, were so hard time to tell apart. But when Jim would talk he always had the kindest voice. He was always sweet to me.

Kellie Beeson From David Beeson For the better part of four decades Jim and I navigated life as friends. I can say without hesitation he lived life his way. Of course over those many years we had our disagreements but we never questioned our friendship. Jan 25, 1998, was one of our highlights. My Denver Broncos season tix were selected to purchase tickets to the Superbowl. Denver vs Green Bay here in San Diego. When I was 15 I lived in Denver and bought season tickets for my father and I. He renewed them every year thereafter. In Feb 1997, my father died. Living in San Diego I was reluctant to renew the Denver tickets BUT Jim (whom I shared Charger tickets with) convinced me to renew. Well Denver won the AFC Championship and my Denver tickets were selected. I bought the game tickets and asked Jim to go to the game. Of course Jim being a Charger fan was anti-Elway (Denver's aging QB whom Jim liked to call Mr. ED because of Elway's prodigious teeth and gums which Jim thought bore a resemblance to the early sixties TV show by the same name). With the game tied, Denver was driving. On 3d and 6 Elway scrambled, dove toward the first down was hit and literally helicoptered to the ground. First and goal Denver! Jim jumps off his seat and yells "Elway, your a God!" Denver goes on to win and as we are walking out of the Stadium I look at Jim and say "I wish my dad could have been here to see this." Jim stopped, looked at me and says, "What makes you think he wasn't?" Driving back to Carlsbad I thought a lot about that: How in the world did we get tickets without a little help from above and how did the lowly Broncos reach the pinnacle of Pro Football? That was just one of the many times I will forever celebrate with Jim. Beeson family reunions, birthdays, parties walking through screen doors, falling in the hot tub, running over Porsche Boxster, July 4, and just hanging out. I will always celebrate his life, and our friendship, in my memories. He is, and always be, my friend.

Megan Edds I have so many wonderful memories of visiting my Aunt Jackie & Uncle Jim in California. We loved going to the San Diego Zoo, Disney, going to Cabo, and visiting their beautiful home in Carlsbad. One of my most special memories was visiting them with my Uncle Jay (around 1989?). This picture is from my wedding ... the fellas snuck away from the dancing to smoke cigars. I felt so loved having Jackie and Jim travel so far to be there for my special day.

Jackie S. Megan, Our niece in Glen Allen, Virginia Megan and Andy's Wedding: Fairfax, Virginia October , 2003

Jackie and I did a lot of traveling for Cabo and I remember our first trip to AZ. Now mind you, this is before GPS systems , no navigation systems, just plain old maps Well poor Jim who knew AZ really well must have gotten 50 phone calls from us to directions to every store. We were on the 101 not realizing it was a circle and we kept going around...

I was so happy when Jim and Jackie agreed to go to king man and take a look at Rusty. I was even more thrilled when Jim told me they were bringing rusty home. Cameron and I have always loved Jim and Jackie but we developed a special bond because of our little Aussie clan! This video was taken at Jim and Jackie’s home and Reina and rusty were only 7 weeks old!

Lynn Black Today, Jackie and I spent our time looking at photos of Jim and reminiscing about how much fun we all had together on vacations and during holidays. I will always remember Jim rescuing Jackie and me from many "sisterly" adventures, just shaking his head as he walked away while we just kept on laughing. A big shout out to a patient, beautiful brother-in-law. We will miss him.
