Jerome Francis Yearout, 76, Seagoville, TX, passed away on September 10, 2021. Jerry was born on January 29, 1945 to Jay Floyd Yearout and Katherine Marie Schneider in Baltimore, MD. After graduating from W.W. Samuel High School in 1963, Jerry served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Jerry worked in the computer field in various positions at Raytheon (aka E-Systems) where he retired after 31 years of service. Jerry is survived by his wife Sharon of 56 years, his brother Tommy Yearout of Dallas, Texas, and his sister Teresa Kilpatrick of Macon, GA. Jerry and Sharon have two children, Melissa and Stephen, six grandchildren, Ryan, Jeremy, Meagan, Asher, Aden and Ashton, and eight great grandchildren, David, Luke, Pearl, Art, Ainsley, Moby, Hank and Emma. They have a ninth great grandchild that is due just days before Jerry would have turned 77. Jerry was so proud of his family and worked hard to provide the best for them. Jerry was a force of nature, a jack of all trades, and never met a stranger; truly the most interesting man in the world. He had many hobbies and interests that fueled his adventurous spirit. Jerry worked on cars, raced dragsters, built model cars, helped with the family construction business, mined for gold, gems and opals in Australia, faceted stones, made jewelry, traveled all over the world, volunteered at church, served on the planning and zoning committee, served on Citizens on Patrol, worked highway security, built furniture, raised Longhorns, horses and all kinds of farm animals that loved him dearly. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to 710 E Simonds Road, Seagoville, TX 75159. There will be a memorial service at People’s Fellowship at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10630 FM740, Forney, TX 75126.
