Diploma NSW State Conservatorium Teacher and Performer 1941. Cherished and beloved wife of the late Doctor John Edward Joseph Sheehy OAM (deceased) for 63 years. Loving and proud mother of John, Michael, Pamela and Rosemary and mother-in-law of Sue, Marie-Helene, Rudi and Richard. Loved and sadly missed grandmother of Elizabeth, John and William; Timothy, Theodore and Victoria; Peter; Rupert, Charles and Antonia. Delighted great-grandmother of Patrick and Olivia. Loved daughter of Percy Lewis and Florence Matilda and sister of Edna, Percy, James and Philip (all deceased). Fond aunt and great-aunt to her nephews, nieces and their families. Talented contralto musician and radio performer. She was also a volunteer, supporter of the Arts, Patron of Rosehill Women’s Bowling Club for more than 50 years and fund raiser for many causes including The Elizabethan Theatre Trust, Opera Australia and St. John’s College, University of Sydney. Dynamic, decisive and forceful, with a captivating personality she was fiercely independent until her last year. Nursed in her last 4 months at Lulworth House. May she rest in peace.
